The menu in the upper left, which has my username in its top line because I'm logged in, contains a "Create content >" entry. When I mouse over the ">", a submenu with "Diary" or "Forum topic" comes up. Clicking on "Diary" brings up a page with directions and a text entry box. I don't have any actual content, so I didn't go any further.
Thanks for the RPS scatter plot.

guys who can do both are nice to have, but when they're injured (which is more likely if they're doing both), you need multiple guys to step in. Having a kicker and a punter allows each to be the other's backup. Typically, your best kicker isn't your best punter, and vice versa.

Penn State has won it an impressive 29 times; the second most frequent winner, with 7 trophies is Army (YTA).
|30 weeks 6 days ago||Well,||
the article says he's made enemies during his time in Ann Arbor, it does not specify where those enemies are.
We know that many of them are in SEC territory and in other Big Ten football programs.
We also know he's made lots of new friends during his time in Ann Arbor, but the article is not about that. It about what a great coach James Franklin is and what a bright future he and Penn State share. I wouldn't want them to say anything different at this point.

Late sixties in Allentown, PA. I had an evening route for the first year, which really cut into my after-school schedule. Lots of walking because about 15% of the houses took the evening paper in 1965 (TV news was having an impact).
Switched to a morning route the for four years, not as much walking because the morning paper was much more popular, probably about 70% saturation. I loved reading the paper at 6:00 AM while the streets were quiet, especially in spring, summer and fall.
Going door-to-door to collect ~$2.50 per fortnight ($1.92 for the evening paper) was part of the job, too. Once every two weeks, I'd walk downtown to pay for my papers; there were two excellent pinball opportunities along the way ...

|50 weeks 6 days ago||Thanks.||
I don't recall seeing a band in those first 15 minutes; this would be a good trivia question: "name the University whose marching band is featured in "Rudy". Haha.
|50 weeks 6 days ago||Rudy.||
We turned it off about 15 minutes in. The hell with Notre Dame.
|51 weeks 21 hours ago||RIP, Mr King.||
What a long, distinguished career he had; from the Bo/Woody era through the 100th UM-OSU game.
An informative previous thread about Mr King can be found at http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/clip-howard-kings-announcing
|51 weeks 22 hours ago||Wait,||
did you mean the Rose Bowl game seemed anti-climactic? I felt that too, though probably not as much as Iowa fans.
You have a reasonable explanation for the ratings decline: parties and people watching as best they could at commercial NYE celebrations.
|51 weeks 23 hours ago||Okay,||
I took your usage of anti-climactic to refer to the slate of bowl games on that day, as if the matchup was disappointing and lacking interest. If you meant otherwise, please elucidate.
I do not know everyone in the country; my (admittedly) small group of Michigan fans was in full attendence for Alabama-MSU in the Cotton Bowl. I did read that the ratings figures were down, but this is of little consequence to me; hopefully they'll be way up next year when Harbaugh's team makes its first appearance in the CFP.
|51 weeks 23 hours ago||Anti-climactic?||
Everyone I know was watching the 38-0 drubbing Nick Saban's team laid on Staee.
|51 weeks 23 hours ago||Ah, 1989,||
Rose Bowl Win and BBall National Championship.
What a year that was!
|51 weeks 1 day ago||Johnny Manzeil ?||
Or does ESPN not want to mention the Heisman winner fabricated by their hype machine?
|51 weeks 1 day ago||Yeah,||
when you have passed up Michael Jordan and Kevin Durant to pick the guys who are #2 and #1 on ESPN's All-time List of Unfulfilled Potential, you've got to be thinking about what could have been. At the time, I thought the Bowie pick was solid; not so much with Oden.
|51 weeks 5 days ago||Rodney Dangerfield ...||
... hasn'the been drafted, either. Of course, he's dead.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Greatest thing?||
Greater than losing to #15 seed with the strongest #2 seed in the 64-team era?
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Sooner than 2018,||
if Cogliano's team makes a long playoff run ...

|1 year 3 weeks ago||Rifle team?||
I say "Sure, give it a shot."
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Actually,||
it's "hear, hear", encouraging those within earshot to listen up.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||+1 Tomfoolery.||
Thanks for the laugh!
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Admittedly,||
I don't follow hockey recruiting closely; it appears to me that committments are taken from kids many years earlier than in men's b-ball; and then there's the annual poaching by hockey minor leagues. I wait unitl guys show up onthe ice wearing Maize and Blue and then I cheer for them.
A quick check of the UM hockey roster for 2015-2016 shows 6 freshmen, 7 sophs, 9 juniors and 3 seniors. That is not the profile of Kentucky or Duke basketball, and we were talking basketball.
BTW, a person who makes fitted clothes such as suits, pants and jackets is a tailor, not a taylor.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||And||
court jester Joey Galloway will sing the praises of both.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||My age?||
63; does that make my indifference understandable or horrifying.
Should I prioritize country/southern rock ahead of hip-hop? My kids think I need to know more about the music of Tupac, Biggie, Jay-z and Kanye (to start).
I do own copies of Hank Williams' Greatest Hits and Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen, both on vinyl. Commander Cody played in and around Ann Arbor frequently in the mid-70s.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Well, well,||
I'm not well versed in country music, but isn't there a song with lyrics "... the devil went down to Georgia ...".
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Recruiting has changed.||
I would not want the UM program to be one which chases the one-and-done players.
But that's just my opinion.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||2011 just called;||
it doesn't want to be included in any such benchmark.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Biggest change?||
I'd say it's the "M", nothing like a block M.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||That holding call was so much bullshit;||
It was worse than Charles White's phantom touchdown because it was Bo's last Rose Bowl, IIRC.
If Washington State had scored on their final drive because the most flagrant offensive pass interference (CW was pulled down by WSU end), that would have been the worst no-call ever.
Sorry to pick at the scab, but some wounds just won't heal.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||Thanks, OP.||
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been in Seattle in 1989 and Pasedena on 1/1/1998 to cheer for each of the accomplishments of outstanding Michigan teams.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||I'd suggest one minor change:||
Instead of "Guy ...",
I'd go with "Sanctimonious prick ...".
|1 year 4 weeks ago||Unlike Woody,||
Dillon Brooks could go for three and did.
I agree, the kid did nothing wrong. And I an *not* an Oregon fan.
Coach K has problems with losing graciously.
|1 year 5 weeks ago||WD,||
please pass the vegemite.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||24-13, UConn||
with 6:00 to play in first half.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||His argument,||
at least the portion he expounded during halftime of our game, is that power five teams on the bubble benefit during conference tournaments because they're generally playing teams with high RPIs, while mid-major bubble teams usually see their RPIs decline even while winning in their conference tournaments. Mid-major teams need to build their resumes on the basis of their non-conference schedules.
I don't know enough about RPI calculation and its relationship to the Big Dance selection process to evaluate his argument. He should have shown some charts!
