I'm completely with you. Out of the 20 games he's called at Michigan 6 or 7 have been complete duds. He's fucking up one out of every three games so far. That just won't cut it. I'd honestly like to see him go, and I'm not the type of personal calls for someone's job

I saw his show at the State Theater just over a month ago.  He looked pretty frail but I figured that was just because he was over 70.  Really sad that he's gone. Going to have to watch the Last Waltz this weekend.   

Why the anger?  I get that most of us would switch places with professional athletes in a heartbeat, but I just can't get angry about them smoking pot.  I haven't smoked for a lot of years, but it always struck me as one of the least harmful bad habits that one could have.  With the physical toll the game takes on these guys' bodies, I just can't bother getting upset about them smoking a joint to unwind.

I don't own any jerseys , but I don't see the problem with anyone else wearing them.  I have to wear a suit and tie Monday through Friday, so the idea of wearing a sports coat on weekends, let alone Michigan football weekends, is repulsive to me.  With that being said, I really don't care how you dress either, but you are coming off as a douche.

Yeah, but Hopkins is a fullback, Houma projects as more of a fullback/jumbo-back, and Norfleet and Hayes both will be more of a third down/scat-back/slot/kick returner type role.  That leaves Fits, Rawls, and Johnson as the only every-down-type running backs on the roster.  Taking two more in 2013 doesn't seem that crazy to me.

That's a good point, I guess I always thought that Urbs was against oversigning, but now that I think of it, I've never heard him speak out against it.  It was always the AD.  It also occurred to me that culturally, OSU seems to have a lot more in common with the SEC than the B1G, except geography I suppose.  And by culturally, I mean shitty academics and a win-at-all-costs mentality

First of all, we don't know if kids are directed into "easy" majors to keep them eligible.  Secondly, IIRC Brian actually followed up on this at the time and found out that a significant percentage of Stanford football players had the same major, just like they do at U of M and a lot of other schools.  Finally, to wait until after Bo dies to bring that type of thing up is inexcusable.  If he has a problem with the program or the way it's operated, he should man up and say so, rather than waiting until Bo dies so he won't be called out on it.  Basically then, he is either lying or, at the very least, being very disengenous about the whole situation, and being cowardly about it to boot.

There's no question that Patterson and Peterson have better resumes than Hoke at this point, but realistically (and as much as it pains me to say it), there's absolutely no reason why they'd come to Michigan at this point.  They have no connection with the university and they just watched another (previously) highly succesfull coach get chewed up and spit out.

To preface this, I'm not convinced one way or the other and while I'd prefer RR to get another year, I can certainly understand someone taking a contrary position.

That being said, how in the hell do reports that Casteel will stay at WVU for at least another year somehow doom RR at Michigan?  The fact that he's staying isn't "writing on the wall", you're just interpreting an unrelated event in a manner that's consistent with what you already decided what should happen.

Does anyone know how much we offered him originally (when RR was hired) or 2 years ago (when Gerg was ultimately hired)?  I'm sure Casteel, like everyone, has an amount that he just couldn't turn down, but he seems extremely hesitant to relocate.

IIRC, Cooper's OSU teams were very talented and, all in all, quite successful.  He couldn't beat us to save his life, and his record in bowl games wasn't that great, but my recollection is that he consistently fielded strong teams, unlike MSU hockey of late.

I agree 100%.  While I hope that RR gets another year, I realize that there's a pretty significant chance that he doesn't come back.  Reasonable minds can certainly disagree about the best course to take, but if I had a vote, I'd say he gets one more year.  I personally won't neg anyone for having a different opinion, but the kind of people who say shit like "nope, won't work in the big ten" deserve all they get.
