As a friend of IC employees, I echo the OP's sentiments.  IC is an incredible group that does a ton of good.  If you haven't seen the original documentary, do so.  Moreover, the videos that accompany bracelet sales are very well done.  They portray the stories of different children that have been affected by the war, from young girls who were raped, became pregnant, and now have HIV, to small children who have lost both of their parents and now must take care of their younger siblings.

Depends on if UM-Duluth makes it.  There will be less available tix than if Notre Dame gets lucky.

Also, scalping is legal in Minnesota, so there will always be tix available on the street.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to that get together.  As a side note, be prepared to be overwhelmed by NoDak fans.  They have a big fan contingency in the Cities and travel well because, let's face it, there is nothing else to root for in North Dakota.  (See Nebraska Syndrome).

This game has been played with play-off intensity.

If you're a smoking hot female undergrad.....uh, I live in Minneapolis.  Just sayin.

1.  I make the drive from Minneapolis to Port Huron at least once a year.  I agree with the poster saying to skip Chicago.  It makes sense.

2.  Cheaper flights can be found from Grand Rapids or Kzoo to MSP through Midwest Airlines. There will be a stop in Milwaukee, but they are usually pretty competitively priced.  Also, not sure if Sun Country Airlines serves Michigan yet, but if you are looking at traveling from another locale, it may be worth checking the Sun Country website out.  They are based in MN and have great fares, for sure to FL, where I go visit my folks.

3.  There are plenty of affordabe hotel options outside of the downtowns.  A good place to look is in Bloomington by the Mall of America.

4.  I've taken greyhound before... I would not recommend it.

5.  Scalping is legal in MN, so there will be tickets on the street for sale.

Well said.  I agree with everything, except I do think Darius Morris is great compared to other similar position players that aren't his teammates. He just looks that much better given his teammates... he would still be putting up solid numbers on most, if not all, other Big 10 teams.

From my experience, LSAT score means more than GPA.  I got accepted by UM Law with a 172 LSAT and a 3.7 GPA (in Poli. Sci. and Physics).  I worked in admissions at my law school, and I will tell you that written statements are read.  Be compelling, be engaging, and be grammatically correct!  If it comes down to you and Joe Schmoe, a well-written personal statement can seal the deal.

I don't believe that function is available in Madden 10, but it could be in Madden 11.  What the league would offer you and your brother is the chance to participate in the same online franchise, including smack talking on the forum (if that is desirable).  In addition, you could choose to be teams in the same division (so you could play eachother at least twice a season) or, be in difference conferences (to minimalize the chances of having to play one another).

This fucking kills. There is no way it can be a complete tear if he is expected back in 4 months. I tore my ACL in my teens and was out 9 months before I was even close to 100%. Wings can't catch a break this year... fuck.

1) I agree with Maxwell's.... their burgers are decent, but I would recommend the homemade Mac N' Cheese w/chicken and the cheese fries with flavored sour cream. Friggin amazing.

2) Bulldog has really good Kobe beef burgers... lil' pricier, but good nonetheless.

3) I am a big fan of Bullwinkles in Seven Corners (on Washington Ave), they have great garlic burgers, where they hand make patties and put garlic, black pepper, and onions in the beef... the beer is pretty cheap and they have free popcorn. nnGet your burger with tator tots, yum. I frequented the place a lot in law school and grew to love it.

4) Townhall Brewery in Seven Corners. A local brewpub with really good food. Goat cheese nachos are awesome, mashed potato pizza is awesome, black n' blue burger is awesome (blue cheese), and the microbrew beer is great. I suggest the Oatmeal Stout beer... it's unreal. Also, it's across the street from Bullwinkle's, and within walking distance of the Dome.

Wings got worked in the 2nd period. St. Louis owned them on the boards and Ozzy was, as he usually is in the regular season, a liability in net.

Howard had a really solid game. In Wings prospect news, Johan Ryno has decided to play in Sweden this year... again... scorning Grand Rapids and probably pissing off the Wings brain trust. His chances with the Wings may be drying up... he is currently 23 and has shown no ability to play North American hockey yet.

Ryno is a mid-level prospect in the Wings system... he started in GR last year but couldn't hack it and went back to Sweden. This is his make or break year in NA.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and it's Johan Ryno... just FYI... hopefully the next Franzenstein!
