Great to see us recruiting at an elite level again.

Could it be that this round, we have a smaller class and offering elite atheletes and going after them strong, rather than take the carpet bombing approach that some of our rivals may have.

It is still commendable that our coaches are able to close out such elite talent so early in the process.

I'm venting.

They haven't used the manball phrase explicitly. But they've said time and again about shoring up the trenches. Showing toughness on the lines and winning the game on the defensive and offensive front. So, there is an implicit reference to MANBALL, at least in my mind.

is that we'll have so many freshmen on offense next year. Sure they are all highly touted but the concerns remain.

Also, we really need Derrick Green or some bluechip RB to come in in this recruiting class. We've missed out on many in the past couple of recruiting classes.

While I haven't made any comparisons between Smith and Dunn, I'd like to know the rationale behind this statement?

In LB, we have 2-3 highly regarded LBs naming us leader (Levenberry, O'Daniel) and possibly us having a silent (Gedeon). In addition, we are recruiting Shane Jones still I think.

In RB, we have only two realistic options in Isaac and Smith. I think, they won't tell Smith to not visit in any case. Green is only an outside possibility at this point.

but looking at the offer sheet of Smith and Green, Green is probably the better back.

Is it just the 'fit' which makes Smith better suited for Michigan? Or is it just based on pure possibility of commitment.

Isaac is staying at AA the entire weekend. This is a very good sign particularly with current commits visiting for a full court press on him. This could be the second coming of THAT weekend.

Unfortunately - it heavily discounts the caliber of players since the the scale is top heavy, ranking of players makes only a marginal difference. 

Number of players is what they are primarily looking at. 

When all is said and done, I'd expect Michigan to be in the top 5 again maybe top 3.

The offers were sent out last week. So maybe they are non commitable at this point.

However, many of our current commits in this class and 2013 project to both OT and OG - so there is some flexibility.

While he has talent - we have T-Rich and Countess who will probably be more seasoned campaigners by the time he comes in.

He is diminutive at this point and shows speed. He throws himself around and plays with a passion but his technique probably needs work.

Essentially based on his film and size, I think he will benefit from a redshirt (barring any injuries to our more senior CBs)

I'm sure they saw something in the kid to hand out an offer. They've handed out really high quality offers this year (if you look at the other 65 odd offers, they are out to very highly rated atheletes)

However, one reason I've stuck with the Michigan advantage is that most of these kids commited really early in the process resulting in lesser attention (and offers) compared to other kids.

With Ojemudia - when you look at his speed - he'll probably dominate Dodson (considering Pipkins already dominated him)

With Braden and Pittman - I would actually call it push on second thought.

Hopefully he commits - seeing so many 2012 commits not go our way in the past week.
