I don't even think it matters. MCW isn't all that great, and while he does have a height advantage, trey has a quickness advantage and will pick his pocket more than once. Even if trey is on MCW, as long as our help is good, then we're fine.

I can only assume Kenpom factors in the opponent as well for this percentage, so if your down 10 against a bad team your percentage is much higher than say someone like kansas. This comeback against such tough competition is crazy.

6'6" is fine for a 2 gaurd in the NBA, and even fine for a 3(not that it matters because he will play the 2 in the NBA). That is actually a relatively tall 2 gaurd. If he grew 6 inches he would be the size of a damn center....

They did well this year and also did pretty well in the tourny. This is very surprising.

This could be a very good move, as long as we didn't overpay by a lot...which we may have done. With that said, he brings a lot to the team that could be very beneficial.

He has some great post moves, and not just the typical "I'm bigger than you" moves you normally see in HS. (And don't tend to translate to College well) He's got a nice post spin, hook, up and under, etc and he can go either left or right while in the post. He'll only get better (and hopefully slightly bigger?), but a 7'2" wingspan already is very good. A great pickup.

Well here are the for sure matchups: Zeller on Morgan/mcgary. Watford on GR3 (he has to play him, otherwise it would be a huge mismatch)

That leaves hulls, oladipo and yogi to matchup against burke, hardaway and stauskas. I think hulls will definitely be on stauskas, but as everyone else is saying, that leaves the question as to whether oladipo or yogi matchup with burke. I bet we will be seeing some experimentation to see what matchup works better in the first half.

Yes, there are plently of people that look like 3 stars in their video. While their highlight tape is supposed to make them all look like 5 stars, a lot fail.

To be fair, he has had some pretty monster games this season, so some of those predictions were correct. (some statistically wise, but more importantly, just how he's affected the game with his hustle and an example of that is last game)

Yes I think so. He had 1 other but it was more of a "throw in" than a dunk. What he just did was a legit dunk.

That stepback shot by burke was a legitimate pro move and shot.  He has definitely added some things to his game this year that has taken him to that next level.

Well I was largely unimpressed with plumlee and the duke team as a whole(off day). I think that may have been the worst  20 point and 13 rebounds performance I've seen from a player, since he was gifted  the majority of his points. He shot 13 freethrows and deserved to shoot about 2. Not to mention he was traveling everwhere. If anyone touched him...free throw. The majority of the team I was unipressed with as well today, no one seemed to make a true impact.

My only exception to that was Seth Curry. He played really well and impressed me a lot.

Yeah I totally agree, that last one was the correct call. But the 2 fouls on him earlier this half were jokes, as are the majority of the calls.

That comparison is extremely bad. Vogrich isn't part of our rotation but Kearney is part of their rotation. Kearney is playing 17 mpg this year in all 13 games, I have no idea why you think he plays less than 6 mpg(you said you watched MSU games, so I would have assumed you knew he played much more than that). Compare that to vogrich who is averaging 9 mpg in 11 of our 12 games. Another part that is incorrect is that Kearney is young and was expected to help out in future seasons as well, whereas this is Vogrich's last year.

Are they doomed? No. Does this hurt them now and in the future? Absolutely.

Everyone is saying this isn't a big deal for state. Well it is. No he's not coming off the bench and scoring a lot, but he's playing a lot of minutes and has been pretty good on the defensive side of the ball. He's one of the players in their short 8 man rotation. Basically this means that byrd is going to have to play quite a bit more, and byrd is much worse than kearney. Its not that they are losing a proficient scorer, but losing a body that is even decent on defense is something they couldn't really afford.

They did beat purdue this year though. Not that it is a big accomplishment this year...

While true, even 2-5 is unsustainable for him. He more likely to go 1-5 or 2-5 in my opinion. I just haven't seen his deep ball improve, granted I have only seen limited minutes of him this year since he plays only limited minutes.

There was a stretch early in the 2nd where they gave us a foul on just about everything. It was extremely aggravating. It did settle down though after a few minutes.

Exactly. I'm not actually sure if pressing us is the best idea. If burke gets the ball then he can just explode up court for an easy basket. I personally think that we didn't look good tonight against the press because we were ahead and just got sloppy due to the big lead let up.

Too harsh on Stauskas in your OP, no he didn't have his best game but he's a freshman( Too be fair, from reading the comments and your response, I think the way you wrote it made it seem like you were being more critical of him than you truly feel)  . Otherwise your points are all good.

Pretty sure that at this point, deferred is pretty much equivalent to waitlisted (I don't think you can be waitlisted yet). Thats not to say they won't get into the school in the next wave though, because plenty that are deferred get in during the next wave. However, It isn't until they have sent out all of there acceptances do people get put on the waitlist, which is in a few months. I could be wrong though, but that was my understanding of it.

Trade Vogrich for Stauskas (which was true up until about 2 weeks ago) and you've got a very good team that could have taken the top 5 of a few of our teams in the past 10 or so years.

I would say Novak. He really laid the foundation and was a great leader. Without him I don't see us being a good team any of the 4 years he was here and I also don't see us improving like we have. He also pretty much single handledly dominated MSU the past few years. Not to mention, without him we probably wouldn't have gotten Mcgary(you never know though).

Leslie is more athletic than Thomas, but Thomas seems to be a little more polished. I think GR3 will be fine with matching up with Thomas.

Haha my exact thoughts. The problem isn't that we are not runnin between the tackles, the problem is that we CAN'T run between the tackles....It would not help to try to run between the tackles more than we already do, because it would just result in more 0 yard gains.

I have gone to many games in Columbus for the game, and I have to say that today, was by far the most respectful I've seen OSU fans. There was the occasional cussing and stuff, but nothing went out of hand (which in the past, I have always seen) It was very enjoyable, which I can't always say about my past experiences.

Doris Burke has got to be one of the worst announcers I've ever heard. Some of the things and questions she asks makes her seem absolutely clueless...

I dont blame bellomy, he's a redshirt freshman that hasn't played much and was thrown in a huge game. The guy was in over his head. But the fact of the matter is that he was in over his head, which is not good for your backup qb.

Oh I totally agree. Doctors make mistakes all the time. But you don't need to be a doctor to know to keep a guy out of a game when he was just lying there unconcious  for 30 or so seconds after  having direct head contact. That is a big red flag saying "he may have a serious injuy, no game is worth a serious injury".

Abbey Theatre Irish Pub, like mentioned above, is probably your only chance at seeing it. You can see some MLB games there and probably some of the bigger football games.  Call ahead and see if they are going to have the game on, if not just stream it.

He seems somewhat slow, at least from those highlights. He's not going to be blowing by anyone. With that said, the guy seems like he can jump extremely high.

Unfortunately, No.  BWC had more potential than Mike Martin coming out of HS, but he is by no means more talented when comparing the two going into their senior year. Martin was much more talented. Also, Van Bergen is better than Black and Roh, granted Roh does have a chance to be better. This is making it sound like I think our line is bad, which it isn't, it will be okay. I just think that our line last year was better than this years will be.

I think between 9-14 is good. So I'll go with 12.

I think it has more about people rising than him falling. Take for example Irvin....He has risen a lot and in the process has bumped people down in rankings. Being top 100 is nothing to be mad about either, it is extremely respectable.

Unfortunately he hasn't really improved his shot greatly. He was something like 28% shooting until the last game where he went 9-9 ( thats good, but I'm sure a majority were layups). He really needs to develop a consistant mid-range shot and it would be good if he could develop a 3 point shot as well.

That is sad. I always liked him. The worst part is that he doesn't have much to fall back on. If he stayed on the team and never played he would have graduated with a degree, and if he couldn't get on a team like this then he could resort to doing something with his degree. He now has nothing though.

I'm sure that no one is a silen committ. I'm sure they just dont' want another DB in this class. Their are obvious exceptions for elite talent(cravens, fuller, etc), but other than that they would rather use the scholarships in other areas.
