I have always had the unpopular opinion that jumpman branding was garbage. I'm glad others are starting to see that as well. Maybe the selection of non-jumpman branded stuff will increase.
I graduated from UM-Dearborn's undergraduate and graduate engineering programs. I have a sibling who graduated from Ann Arbor (undergrad). My undergrad says "University of Michigan" and underneath somewhere it says "University of Michigan-Dearborn". My graduate degree says "University of Michigan", somewhere else it says "Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies"and somehere else it says "University of Michigan Dearborn" Obviously, the degree from UM-Ann Arbor doesn't say "Dearborn" anywhere. In the workplace, I've never felt disadvantaged because of the "Dearborn" on my degree. That being said, the professors and campus are not the same, however the board of regents are. I hope that helps (I've also held the first of the above mentioned degrees for about 15 years, so things may have changed).
Of course, 1050 is the best but I also enjoy College Sports Nation on SXM (except when Lou Holtz is on). I can't handle 97.1 for more then a few minutes.
He did NOT "singlehandedly destry our season"! The snap was low, there were MANY penalties in the game that really cost us, the offense wasn't able to get the 1st down, there were several 3rd and longs that didn't work out for us. Last I checked football was a TEAM sport and we have an excellent punter who made ONE mistake (albiet a big one). Out loss yesterday sucs and it will take a very long time to get over it, but the season is NOT destroyed. You need to get a grip.
Awesome video! What strikes me after watching it is the number of highlights we have midway through the season. It seems like more then multiple of the last few seasons combined!
There is a reference to the Gary Moeller incident in 1995 being recorded on a cell and provided to ESPN. Was this actually the method of the tirade being documented?
Anything from Mighty Good Coffee! You can get the beans from most grocerty stores in Ann Arbor and grind them yourself. They also have 3 cafes in Ann Arbor.
In Detroit, Roasting Plant is also fantastic! They also have 2 locations in Manhatten.
I was in a similar (but still fairly different) position as you a few years ago. My background is in Engineering (BS in Computer and MS in Electrical working in SE MI in the Auto Industry). I attended information sessions to a few local universities for their part time programs (The Evening Program at Ross was one of them). My company at the time would sponsor up to $5k/year which even at that time was a drop in the bucket for Ross. I spoke to one of the reps after the information session. She was also an engineer in the Auto Industry and was doing her Ross MBA to move into product planning. That was something I was somewhat interested in, but my main purpose was to further my engineering career into management within Engineering. She told me that for someone not looking to make a career change the MBA may not be as useful due to the amount of time and money it takes. The desicion for me was to not pursue the MBA. I had no intention of going to a 2nd Tier School (like Wayne State) due to the time involved and the cost of a top tier school wouldn't have provided a good enough ROI when looking at my salary pre and post MBA. To the posters point above with the friend paying $1000/month in loans, the decision to pursue or not to pursue is a very individualized desicion. My advice to you is to contintue the application process, but also inparallel look at ALL your options. There may be some options that arn't apparent to you at this time that will serve you well in the future. From there, weigh the pros/cons of each and move forward with the best one. Good luck!
This team reminds me of the Pistons right around 2002. They're fun to watch, young and inexperienced. Each game they gain valuable experience to begin making some serious runs in the playoffs. Enjoy the ride!!
But is it allowed from an outside entity? That just seems really shady. Then is it OK for boosters to say "make it to x, y or z bowl game and I'll gift you (whatever the maximum value is). If that's legal, this is a very glaring loophole.
I had the same initial reaction in 2013 with the going for 2 call (being present in the stadium). After hearing about how severe Gardner's injury was, I liked the call. It wouldn't be right to force Gardner to continue into OT in that condition. Also remember, that was a game NO ONE expected us to win. This includes the thousands of UM fans selling tickets to OSU fans.
Mrs. Harbaugh will absolutely love Ann Arbor! Their kids will be sent to some of the excellent private schools it the area. They will live in a baller mansion in the area and enjoy some of the night life around Ann Arbor, Royal Oak, Birmingham and more recently Detroit. Her husband will be viewed as a hero and they'll have plenty of money to go somewhere warm in the winter (maybe a winter home in the south or in Cali). Welcome!
This is starting to feel surreal! It's going to be crazy hearing it all over the news in the next few days. I don't know if it'll feel "real" before seeing him on the sidelines at the spring game! It's about damn time we get some positive karma coming our way! Oh and HARBAUGH!

As much as I love Chicago (and Detroit), I'll never understand why when ppl refer to "Chicago" only the good parts are thought of while when ppl refer to "Detroit" only the bad parts are thought of. Chicago is a terrible city outside of the nice parts (same can be said for Detroit). And no I'm not comparing them other then to say they both have good and bad parts (like every city).
