I think I'll wait for the explanation until I grab my pitchfork and torch.

Adidas was the brand I grew up with playing soccer and I've never had any issues with quality. In fact, the copa mundial shoe is widely known as the best and most durable shoe out there for soccer. I have 4 pairs of them and they are all still in great shape after 10+ years. It's all personal preference but I can't say the same for my experiences with Nike and puma quality. I still buy stuff from all 3 though!

Anyway all I'm saying is that I'll wait to hear both sides..... Definitely not going to ban a brand I have always had good luck with in the past......

15 weeks 17 hours ago I've sat next to you before for sure

Brian moves his seats quite a bit in that general area but he stays buried in his phone or super concentrated on the game - not sure how you got his attention to harass him. Heck I've sat literally next to him and looked for a "non-creepy" opportunity to say hi and couldn't find it! Haha

What's scary is there will be a lot of people copying this idea now.  And with facebook and blogs like this I'm certain we'll be seeing pics.  haha....

26 weeks 4 days ago Go Tigers ?

I talked a few guys (7 of us) into buying full tigers uniforms and going to a bunch of games.  When it came time to throw them on at my buddy's place accross from the stadium for the first time guys started really chugging the booze to get comfortable.  And I mean really chugging. This theme held on to be true for every game, but especially for the first one. Shef #1 was the most nervous (see further down for clarification)

As soon as we hit the streets it was high five city, haha.  Didnt expect to have to sign so many autographs, but the worst was when a little girl who had cancer wouldnt stop hugging us (her parents were oddly OK with it and told us to play along).  Beers and nachos in hand mind you!  We did this for a couple seasons and the stories we got were RIDICULOUS, including grown adult women showing us "private things" because they actually thought we were real Tigers.  One of the women turned out to get '3rd place' in the WRIF Rock girl contest one year haha - we only know cuz she was texting her whole phonebook to vote for her - including the random Tiger's she met at a bar after a game one night, haha

Probably the best story though was when Shef #1 (we had 2 sheffields on our "team" because two of the guys were from Wisconsin) passed out in his seat in the pavilion.  It took a couple guys to carry him out and the whole "team" was behind him so it caused quite a scene. Needless to say everyone saw us enter and were giving us high fives and taking pics with us.  Upon exit the entire left field was chanting "SHEFF-FIELD" as we had him lifted up in the air on our shoulders - completely passed out.  I have videos and pics to prove it for those that think Im embellishing, haha

Heres an article from mlive where they interviewed us
http://www.mlive.com/sports/ann-arbor/index.ssf/2009/04/story.html?mobRedir=false

I don't yet think it's a "poor" choice, but next job search I have I'll probably be convinced when my employer googles my name, haha....

27 weeks 2 days ago My buddy was getting honored

My buddy was getting honored at half-time that Wisconsin game for being in the Olympics.  As a result his family got 2nd row 40yd line tickets.   They took off early and gave me their ticket stubs as they were walking out (I was up a ways behind them) and I watched the end of the game next to John Beilein, who at the time no one really knew who he was except me!  ha.

And by the way - this past game (NW vs. UofM) our entire suite emptied out and there were only me and 2 other guys in it to watch the end of the game.  We were jumping around like little kids!  haha

32 weeks 6 days ago Yeah Florida is one that

Yeah Florida is one that popped in my head as well. I just dont understand football enough to really get the legitimate reasons why all schools arent running the spread. The offense relies too much on one position ? It only works against young or weak defenses ? It clearly worked against Carr, so I never understood why people said it wouldnt work in the big10, but at the sme time if the spread makes it difficult to field a "tough" defense and theres data to prove it then I guess i could understand. Its always bothered me that there are two schools of thought regarding offense and both are very stubborn, yet theres no clear data which side is actually more effective. Is it really true if you can get top recruits (pro prospects) theyre more effective in a pro style offense ? I cant understand why top pro style recruits wouldnt be even better in a spread ? Sorry for all the questions.- just never really got a lot of this... I wish there was an mgoblog investigation on it, haha

32 weeks 6 days ago When RR was here I heard an

When RR was here I heard an interesting point that spread offenses lead to weak or less physical defenses because theyre playing "basketball on grass" instead of manball. Does anyone think that spread type offenses have a lot harder time fielding physical defenses due to practices ? Is there any data out there to back it up ?

If you're worried about saving a spot or having where you want to park be full - I'd hold a spot for you at my house up until game time if you want - it's a couple hundred feet from Pioneer.

38 weeks 5 days ago I live 2 blocks west of the

I live 2 blocks west of the stadium and you'd be surprised how many people park at my place and then just walk over to pioneer or the golf course to tailgate with friends.  It's half the price and easier to get out.  Your comment about people throwing balls or risking damage to cars is funny, but on my street there really isn't any of that going on.  I wouldn't say it's quiet by any means, but no one is really around the cars.  Anyway, this idea is only good if you already know people tailgating in other locations.  $0.02

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I like Novak, in part, because on his twitter he's always just talking about random stuff.  He's never trying to make cheesy inspirational quotes or discuss basketball too much.  Most of the athletes that I follow don't have interesting stuff to say or they try to be something they're not (again, just my impression).  Novak just seems like a regular guy.

That and he added a friend of mine on facebook (a girl) after only meeting her for a few minutes so I can relate to his single man tendencies.... I definitely did that back in the day.  You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, right
