DTE has been in our neighborhood for months and the seems to have paid off. We have power! Previously, we were losing power at the slightest breeze. People in our neighborhood were wielding torches and pitchforks.

It would also be interesting to see an analysis of teams that return 80-90% of the previous year's two-deep.

Clark isn't on the current depth chart so I omitted him. And there are easily identifiable replacements.

...and here I am spending my time on MGoBlog.
I'm living the dream, while Gundy is being castigated and lauded all at the same time.

Don't buy tickets. You can have two of mine. Section 44. Row 80. Let me know.

Of course, Izzo has to mention that they were playing two walk-ons in the first half. And he threw his big guys under the bus.
I have no objection to a coach talking about needing to play better, but his way of calling out specific players is really grating.
|1 week 4 hours ago||I know this isn't realistic||
I know this isn't realistic but with his recruiting skills and the way the players seem to like him and his passion for Michigan, it'd be great to see him stay on as DL coach. Or maybe something involving player relations or recruiting in the AD.

Calm down. Clark is in jail. I'm guessing it's not that easy to call someone who's in jail.

Not sure if you're alluding to the BTN announcers or not, but it they were so bad it was cringe-worthy.
|1 week 1 day ago||To be alive...||
As of last week, two of my friends from high school - who also attended U of M with me - have passed away as a result of bile duct cancer.
I understand the passion that many of us feel for U of M sports (football and basketball, in particular), but some of you really need to step away and take a deep breath.
Maybe it's because I'm a bit older than most of you...or because of the losses and struggles I've experienced...but the lack of perspective around here sometimes amazes me.
So, while this is a bit of a corny topic for the board, it is a good reminder...and made me want to add my snark-free $.02.

Completely agree. The lack of nuanced thinking in many of the knee-jerk comments in yesterday's threads is disheartening.
What Frank did (and it does appear as though the word "allegedly" doesn't need to be used here) is awful.
It doesn't mean that he's garbage or a horrible person.
We don't know what his upbringing has done to him. Or how difficult it was - and is - for him to overcome the environment in which he was raised.
Let's hope this is a wake-up call. Let's hope Frank will atone for this and get the help he needs.
And, of course, hope that there are no long-term negative repercussions for the victim.

We Jewish folks don't hunt but I'll be up in Ann Arbor taking in the hoops action. (Seriously. We don't. It's such a novelty that occasionally the Detroit Jewish News will do an article about a Jewish person who hunts. Right after the one about a Jewish man who's handy around the house.)

If the Lions won the Super Bowl, this town would literally melt down. It would make the rioting in the aftermath of the Tigers' 1984 World Series victory look like a genteel tea party attended only by London's upper crust aristocracy.

Hopefully it happens very quickly do that we don't have to endure any more of these threads.

All have five or more NCAA championships. Clearly better basketball programs than U of M...historically speaking.

...I'm impressed with your motivation and ambition.
Just remember that when you start a thread/topic, you need to add something interesting or insightful. In this instance, you could've provided your prediction for the starting line-up, or made an observation about how tall or skinny our players are...or something else.
You're also going to have to develop a thicker skin. People are going to neg your posts or make snarky comments It's just the way it is. Don't take it personally....and don't respond by getting angry. Best advice is to ignore it and not respond at all.
If you're really not sure how to handle something, ask one of your parents or another adult.

I'm too lazy to look up the records but I'm guessing that U of M's record over the past four years compares favorably to any other school in the country...whether you're looking at overall record, conference championships, or number of players drafted.
