...deleting all of the threads.
I may have been a bit overzealous and misguided in my efforts to upend the malaise on the board.
As a way of demonstrating my contrition, I'd be more than happy to provide you with a few extra tickets to any upcoming Michigan football home game!
(You have to admit that it is a cute picture; the people did seem to enjoy it.)

If the team keeps performing the way it has this season, it'll look like people are boycotting...even if they aren't.
My guess is that attendance was around 95K this past Saturday...on an unseasonably beautiful day.
Once the losses pile up and the weather takes a turn for the worse, people will decide it's just not worth making the trip to Ann Arbor for the games.

Despite your timeless good looks, Mr. Stamos, you are incorrect . Michigan is and always has been a brand.
Look up Seth Godin's definition of a brand. Michigan fits the definition perfectly.
Really, what we are all objecting to is Brandon's misuse and bastardization of the Michigan brand.
There's nothing wrong with being a brand. In fact, Michigan's brand is extremely strong...which is why so many people, organizations and entities want to be associated with it.
Without the Michigan brand and what it stands for, we are just like any other institution of higher learning.
And please remember that the brand extends far beyond the football team; it encompasses all elements of the university.

My daughter's soccer team won via forfeit this morning. First thing I said to my wife..."maybe Minnesota won't show up for the game today."

The distribution of 4* and higher on the current roster reinforces my view that we are still one year away from really being able to evaluate this coaching staff.
The bulk of the 4/5* players are redshirt sophomores, sophomores, redshirt freshmen, and true freshmen...with a few true juniors sprinkled in.
It's too early to tell how good these players are going to be...especially on the offensive side, where it can be argued that we are on our 3rd system in the past three years.
The fact that we will return at least nine of this year's offensive starters in 2015 tells you how young the team is on that side of the line.
Despite the debacles against Notre Dame and Utah, I think we should wait until the end of the year to fully evaluate whether the team is moving in the right direction.
Yes, turnovers are a big deal and somewhat indicative of skill and coaching...but if the turnovers are even against Utah we most likely win that game.
We are not getting dominated at the line of scrimmage...receivers are getting open...there are holes open for the running backs...and Gardner is getting time to throw.
His lack of accuracy, though, even on completed passes, is troubling...
I still want to see what this staff can do with a roster full of 3/4/5-year 4/5* players...

Here's the list of U of M grads that perished that day.
Oddly, I knew three of them...James Gartenberg, Steve Goldstein, and Mark Zeplin.
The brother of my first girlfriend at U of M would've been on one of the upper floors of one of the towers had his wife not badgered him in to stopping to vote on the way to work that morning.
So many sad and inspiring stories to come out of that day.
We will, indeed, never forget.

2023 UM Grad slept thru the nite when he was a week old and never looked back.
2026 UM Grad, on the other hand, was like satan for the first three months of her life. She had reflux or some other nonsense and would only sleep in the infant carrier.

Also fueling the hunch that the OP is a troll is that I don't ever recall anyone around here referring to him as "Jabrill P."

The way you are spelling "neighbour" leads me to believe that your neighbor's grandson is Canadian...which would explain his choice of MSU over Michigan.
In an effort to offset my snarky and gratuitous comment, I will add that I'm not buying the parents' approach. I'm sure the grandson could've found some new buddies on a campus of 40,000 people.
And this doesn't take in to account the many other elements that make U of M a better overall experience than MSU...the city of Ann Arbor, the prestige, the history, the campus, the sports programs, the diversity, the opportunities, etc.

"Even when we felt like the game was out of reach we continued to play hard which is a great sign because in the past we’ve not come out the way we needed to against teams we felt we’re better than and that was great, that was the mentality we brought to the game and we did a great job.”
Really don't have to do much reading between the lines when you review quotes from players like DG, Clark, T-Rich, etc...about last year's team.
And while I know a lot of the folks on this board put this on the coaching staff, I think it's more an indictment of the leadership within the team. A coach - like a teacher or a parent or a CEO - can only do so much. Ultimately, leadership is most effective when it comes from within the organization...not from up above.

Man, watching the plays back-to-back...it does appear that Green and Smith are so close. Smith does seem to be a bit better at breaking tackles...and I also feel as though he's a bit better at hitting the right hole at the right time.
But, so so close.
