Up high in Section 7, as freshman Rick Leach and Harlan Huckleby demolish Tony Galbraith and the Missouri Tigers.

Somebody who's close to this guy, who really loves him, is going to have to sit down with him and see what other contribution he can make to Gopher Football that doesn't exacerbate this condition. It can't continue, can it? What if he dies the next time?

Does anyone know who his ND grandfather was? When he played?

in the Lions D-backfield. Spiderman came from the Pittsburgh Steelers' Steel Curtain defenses via UCLA. Good days!

Glenville, Baby! GLENVILLE!!
|2 years 16 weeks ago||Agreed.||
I think when a coach is in the transition Carr was in, it must be difficult to come to terms with the fact that you are no longer the guy in charge--or soon won't be. One way to retain a measure of the control you are about to cede to the new guy is to call a meeting without the new guy's input and offer your players a chance to transfer without meeting with the new guy. Whatever Lloyd's motives, it comes across as shabby toward RR, petty, and atypical of him. I also agree he doesn't owe JUB or us any explanation.

A Wolverine in the News ad department, perhaps?
|2 years 19 weeks ago||No||
He just re-did his deal, didn't he? I don't see him going anywhere. His Buckeye-bred Wolverine hatred serves him uniquely well in EL. That visceral anger and morosity cannot be replicated toward some other regional rival.
|2 years 22 weeks ago||How long did Bear Bryant last after he retired from 'Bama?||
Several months, right? I wouldn't be surprised if that's how long JoePa, Sandusky, and McQueary last. JoePa, like the Bear, by natural causes.
|2 years 23 weeks ago||Two Observations||
What seems noteworthy is that in JoePa's statement, he emphasizes the fact Sandusky was no longer on the coaching staff, and that by implication justifies his tepid response to such revolting news. Interesting also that Schultz's attorney is litigating the charge of failure to report in the media, and that he already has a legal defense to it. The speed with which such a point was made begs the question whether this was something already considered by Schultz, Curley, and JoePa back at the time; ie, we owe no legal duty, this victim is not our student; therefore, the legal obligation doesn't apply to us. Their parsing of Sandusky's relationship to the team and the victim's relationship to the university is troubling, as though they thought someday they'd be here. What about all those victims in the meantime?

The way he handled the Glenn Winston matter and having the bus pick up Rucker at the jail while on their way to Iowa City says it all. He certainly learned his lessons from Tressell well. He's the obvious choice.

This is how Bucks' fans must have felt watching us the past three years. That LB could only manage 10 points says a lot about them.

If the band's not from Michigan, they don't get played, IMO. That gives us plenty to work with.

He has great ideas. May be the best AD in the country, but IMO we have it on very hard terms. He is a unrepentant narcissist who won't shut up. He has to comment on evertything! He thinks he's Jerry Jones. Watching film. On the sideline. Oh for the days of Don Canham.
|2 years 31 weeks ago||Anthony Carter is the Only #1||
Please don't ever put Braylon Edwards in the same sentence as Anthony Carter. The reason Braylon switched from #80 to #1 was A.C. A.C. was a class act who finished fourth in the Heisman voting when Michigan didn't throw the ball. He was a teriffic return man. Braylon's never been anything but a prima donna (4 high schools in 4 years?) with criminal tendencies. Braylon would have dropped John Wangler's pass against I.U.

Does this mean "Michigan Replay" and the greatest theme music this side of the old HNIC tune isn't coming back?

Can someone help me out? I recall reading somewhere that UT's TV deal mandates that they be in the Big XII or become an independent. If true, that changes the analysis.

I'm in Sec 37, row 10--where Desmond caught the pass--and while things are a little remote going the other way, having them come right at you half the game more than makes up for it. Plus, with the advent of the video boards, you can sneak a quick peak to get oriented when they're running to the south end.

This is the start of the 2nd Q of a 4 Q game.
