York stuck him with his wife's bill after saying he'd pay for her, right?
It's a ballsack mcgee move, especially when York is a tremendously unpopular owner at dinner with a relatively influential Bay Area reporter.
If I were York I would have paid the whole thing. Let Kawakami write an article about how he is a good sport.
I think I get where York is coming from. The bet is the only thing he's won since his mother let him run the team. He's not letting go of that.

First sight. I was jamming her friend at the time, which made it complicated, but I somehow pulled off the switch (of course there was a period when neither would talk to me). Took her much longer to be in the same place.

I don't recall, exactly, but I think it was either Appetite for Destruction or the Fat Boys or someshit. I should just go with the former.

OP that is an unwarranted hot take on Rod Stewart. South Park is a retrograde cultural virus that allows young people to form opinions without any context or appreciation of the subject matter.
Rod Stewart has talent, even if his best song other than "Maggie" is a Tom Waits cover.
I am not here to sing his praises, but he has more originality in the cuttings of his early 1990s Detlef Schrempf mullet than dudes like Justin Bieber could even imagine.

Yeah, I would be surprised if the Spurs beat the Warriors. The Warriors are as good defensively, that aspect to their game is overlooked. The Spurs are good at controlling tempo. Nobody is better, but the Warriors can attrition as well as anyone in a man to man grind.
OKC scares me because they can win on the Warriors own terms.
The meta truth is that the NBA in 2016 is weaker than its been since MJ first retired. As much as I love these Warriors they are not top 5 all time. Yet alone the best.

Even if those numbers are inflated by inclusion of figures like lost tuition from scholarships, there is no doubt the issue is endemic and a big reason why costs of attending college have sky rocketed.

The econ stat theory courses I took were pretty difficult. Even if the econometrics were relatively easy, parts of the theory classes were basically incomprehensible.

My roomates took all of these classes in the late 1990s. You would just get the outline from one of the bookstores the day before the test, memorize it, and then take the test.
Of course, the night before my roomates would start out studying, we'd end up playing quarters, and they would usually pull Cs.

Poetry classes should actually be difficult, because the class should require analysis (of the text), snynthesis (of secondary sources, socio-political climate when the poem was written), and the ability to write about all of it.
There were tons of like one credit mini-classes, like Rocks for Jocks, where you just had a multiple choice test that was basically just memorizing a bunch of stuff. Intro PSYCH was pretty much like that, as was ECON (although the questions in ECON were hard).

It's a booby prize. Dubs lose to the Spurs in May and it's meaningless. Prevailing attitude where I was tonight for the game is let it go. Rest for the playoffs. They've been wobbly the last few weeks. People don't remember Jordan et al because they won 72 games one season. It's the titles that count.

I don't like Michigan's chances against Notre Dame, considering the relative strengths and weaknesses of the teams, comparison of results, or how the rosters measure up in absolute terms.
I do like that we are playing these jive-ass-turkeys the day after Saint Pats. That Irish shit is played out, man, and nobody wants to wear green today, that shit is holiday leftovers.

Carmody coached at Princeton for a grip, and then Northwestern. I think you are embalmed with staid cultural preferences at places like that.

It's really up to him. His options will likely be NBA or Power Conference assistant, or HC at a mid-major. Depends on what opens up in the latter category, I bet. He could hang out on staff for a couple years and see what opens up.

Plus there are many good casinoindustrialcomplex/basketball court hookups in Vegas. Much as I want to hate Vegas, for all the good reasons to do so (most prominently, I watched the 2006 Ohio St-Michigan game there), there are more than a handful of ways to have a time there. If the slobs who run the city could put together any type of public transportation (esp. a cross-town light rail that went to the airport), I would probably not even really hate it all that much anymore.

Excellent graphic, thanks. I think you can maybe cross off Florida, Syracuse and Vandy at this point. Ohio very shortly. I predict two teams will leap over two of Oregon State/Vandy/Pitt, in real life if not in LundariLand

Agree. UCONN also beat Texas, Ohio State. They've been bafflingly inconsistent in conference play.
|11 weeks 6 hours ago||Fair enough||
The RPI is the difference maker. But it is based on beating fringe-tournament type teams with regularity (USC, Colorado, Iona, Tulsa). Michigan's wins against top 100 teams are fewer, but they're better. Maryland, Texas, Indiana, and Purdue are all top 26 RPI.
Colorado is another example that bothers me. Lundari has them as a seven seed. They are 22-11 and 10-8 in their conference. Their big non-conference wins were BYU, Colorado State.
I think the metric should be wins against top 25, or top 50. Michigan is 4-9 against the top 50. Oregon State and Colorado have more wins against the 51-100 type teams. Which aren't the teams you face in the tournament. (Colorado is 4-9 as well against the top 50, but with a win against Oregon State, and Oregon State is 5-8 with wins against Colorado and a meh USC.)
|11 weeks 9 hours ago||I am not feeling Oregon||
I am not feeling Oregon State. No non-conference wins of any significance; 9-9 in a conference inferior to Michigan; non-conference loss to Valpo; early exit from their tournament. And nobody is quesitioning that they, at 19-13, should be in.
Taking a step back, ESPN seems to always give teams like Syracuse the benefit of the doubt in these comparisons. The Selection Committee is more even-handed, I think.
