Since Vermont and all, it might just end up being a Magic Hat.  I'll be disappointed if that shit's not on tap everywhere.

Although occasionally I like to halfway fill it out, and mess up half the answers I put in, just for a little added challenge for the next guy.  Can he fix it?  Or will he chicken out and surreptitiously switch the magazines, hoping for an empty one?  Or maybe he'll just suck it up and do the sudoku instead.
1 week 1 day ago	Got muchos plans this weekend	Got muchos plans this weekend and I'm excited.  Two weeks ago the family went to Grand Rapids to watch youngest brother graduate from GVSU.  This weekend is my own commencement exercises at UDM for my masters degree.  (Not to get too excited; I have four classes still to take in the summer and then it's MBA city.)  About two hours after those end I hop a plane to Vermont where my cousin is graduating from Norwich University, and I have the honor of giving him his commissioning oath into the Army.  Oh, and my middle brother just got his acceptance into the University of Washington for his own MBA, which he'll start in the fall.  Good times in the family as we all get ourselves edjicated up.

Exactly.  It's out there.  It's a tool.  If all you ever do is offer people based on how many stars they have, that's not too bright.  But these databases exist, why wouldn't coaches use them?  Pretending they don't exist would be pretty silly, in my view.
1 week 4 days ago	Seems as if basically	Seems as if basically everyone who started the book series under the age of 15 got moved upwards in age a few years, not just the Stark kids.  It makes sense.  Dany is too young in the books to be depicted on TV as pregnant, for one thing, even on HBO.  Joffrey is much more believable as his TV age than his book age, as are Robb and Jon and come to think of it just about all of them. Plus, it mostly avoids one of my hugest Hollywood pet peeves: trying to pass off much older actors - especially guys since guys go through more obvious outward physical changes than girls - as a younger character.  20-somethings do not make believable high schoolers.  By just coming out and saying the characters are older, they don't force us to pretend these guys with full beards are in fact 15.  Now the only corner they've backed themselves into in that regard is with Bran.

1 week 5 days ago	Very soon.  Next year the new	Very soon.  Next year the new Atlantic Sun will have an autobid - they don't have to wait like the NEC did because the NEC had Bryant, which was a provisional D-I member til this year.  The A-Sun is the manifestation of the long-anticipated southern conference.  The NEC looks for now as if they'll lose their autobid after just one year, so it'll still be eight autos and eight at-larges most likely. HOWEVA - next year the ACC will probably have a temporary autobid, making nine for at least a year.  It'll be a six team conference by adding ND and Cuse and not yet losing Maryland.  Plus, if and when Hopkins joins a conference, and I think it's more when than if, it'll create a new autobid, because let's face it, they're probably going to either the B1G or ACC.  Long-term both conferences have five teams, so Hopkins will mean a ninth permanent autobid. This doesn't even take into account the possibility that the NEC could get itself together somehow, or that the B1G or ACC could add a sixth team from within (Northwestern?  MSU?  BC?  NC State?) or various other scenarios.  Bottom line: I don't think it's very long before the tournament becomes an 18 or 20 team affair.  Couple years, tops.
1 week 5 days ago	I have been guilty each of	I have been guilty each of the past two years of overestimating Michigan's chances in the upcoming season, but let's try again: I think next year, with Loyola gone from the ECAC, Michigan could be a minor threat to get to the ECAC tourney.  Three wins is typically enough to make a conference tourney with seven teams, and Michigan hung in very tough against Hobart and Fairfield.  Obviously there's a great deal of improvement between here and there, and I don't think they'll actually make the tourney, but at least we could see them contend a little instead of waiting all year for that first win.
1 week 5 days ago	+1.  The fact that GRRM has	+1.  The fact that GRRM has got me interested in what happens next even when winter comes for good and real, I'd say makes him a pretty good writer.  The amazing breadth and depth of the characters - you'd be hard-pressed to find any two alike, and nearly all of them are extremely well developed and nuanced - is really difficult to do.
