It was obvious during our interactions with him at media day this year that he wasn't very happy. This is actually what I told Brian back in August.
"The AP requested a photo with the QB's so we all went out there to get a photo. Obviously, they wanted Devin and Shane, but the whole group came out. When it became obvious that Bellomy and Cleary were feeling left out, Shane made it a point to tell them to come over and get their photos taken too."
Bellomy definitely was not having a good time. I can completely understand though. I feel bad for the guy and wish him luck. It must be difficult going from being the star on your high school team to a relative nobody in college.

I live in Northwest Ohio and have Buckeye cable. The cheapest cable package with ESPN that you can get is $75/month. That doesn’t include internet service which is also going to cost you another$30-$50 per month. I just said no thanks and went with the internet. That was 2 days ago. Thanks for this thread.

Being one of the contributing photographers to this blog, I've had dealings with Derek. I can tell you that there is no place in college football that you get treated worse than at Michigan Stadium. Michigan is the only place, that I've ever shot a game, where they wouldn’t let us on the field for the post-game handshake. That started after Satterfield took over. Justin Dickens always let us on the field for post-game and it was never a problem. The first game this year, Derek had the field roped off after the game in order to keep the photographers off of the field. They have a couple members of their event staff that also need to be let go, but I’m not sure who handles that crew. Honestly, I don’t like to say these things because I’m a lifelong Michigan fan, but it’s the truth. Almost every photographer, that you talk to, will tell you the same thing. I’ve shot at Penn State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, MSU and OSU and it’s not even close. I don’t take joy in anybody losing their job, but this one does not surprise me at all. His job is to be the liaison between the media, and the football program, instead, he tried to put up a wall. Justin was much easier to deal with and more laid back and I don’t know of a single incident with a photographer. Hackett made a statement in his first presser, after the cameras were turned off. It was something to effect of, he appreciates the role the media plays at Michigan, as opposed to his previous line of work, and he wanted to make sure we had a good relationship. I’m hoping that this is part of a culture change that is going on inside the AD. It’s unfortunate that Derek had to lose his job over it, but like I said, I’m really not surprised.

I'm with you. I don't see them hiring somebody that hasn't been a head coach before. I'd be very very surprised if that happened.

It was Anthony Bellino https://twitter.com/FS_Bellino. He's not the Lions guy. He does Toledo Mud Hens, Toledo Walleye, University of Toledo and I think he's done some UM hoops. He's a good guy and it's tough to read some of the comments about him. Everybody has an opinion though and I respect that, but if I had the chance to the PA announcer at the Big House,I really wouldn't care what anybody thought. I doubt he does. :)

Primarily I use a Canon 7D with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. I also use a Canon 60D with a Sigma 17-50 2.8 or a Canon 400mm f/5.6L USM. I typically swap out the short Sigma lens for the Canon 400mm when the play is on the opposite 40 going away from me. If the ball is coming toward me I will swap the 400mm out after it crosses the 50 yard line.
I'm not sure what Fuller uses exactly, but he's a Nikon guy.

Condolences to the Bedford family. I grew up in Erie and my wife is a Bedford grad. This has been heavy on our hearts over the last 2 days. R.I.P. CD3.
Good luck to the rest of the Kicking Mule team as they try to complete their undefeated season tonight. Go out and win one for Colton.
