"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."

Wasn't he offered the DC at TAMU? He had inroads to SEC teams yet waited on Harbaugh to hire him here. Hard to believe he would go to Maryland after his previous stops and potential HC access to SEC teams
|5 days 21 hours ago||I watched the presser and noticed this was||
really the first time I've seen Harbaugh smile while addressing the media. It looked like he was having fun getting ready for this week. It sure was a noticeable difference from all the other pressers I've seen. You can tell he's charged for this game.
|6 days 4 hours ago||It used to be HDNET||
but was rebranded as AXS TV. It's owned by Mark Cuban and really has/had some pretty good independant programs televised. Some of which I wish they would still rebroadcast but for reason they haven't. Dan Rather Reports, World's Coastlines From Above, and Concert Series are some of the programs.

That's how my x-girlfriend started a chat with me after looking me up on facebook. So maybe we should make it a reality was my reply.

Been there done that. But, if you're gonna be there, a few good places to watch the game is at the airport (easy get-a-way for you when dealing with upset IU fans) or locked in your hotel room. Shopping is hard to come by but if you're feeling especially touristy stop by the Bakaara Market. They always have good deals on Soviet Bloc weapons and ammo.
I'd stay away from Abdille Nuradin's bar. Even though the drinks are dirt cheap, the locals don't approve of its western ways. For the most part, the night life isn't so great so I'd stay in your room until your flight. If you're feeling particularly brave though, you can wander out and watch the sunset and listen to the fireworks (gunfire). Keep in mind though, the locals tend get loaded up on khat mid-afternoon so the evenings tend to be pretty roudy. Other than that, good luck watchin the game in the Mog.

It was a blanket statement about those in the state of Pennsylvania and those that support Penn State/Paterno. For some reason, they all believe Penn State and Paterno were the victims. Plus, lets not kid ourselves here, does anyone really believe that Sandusky wasn't doing this on campus during his tenure as coach. That was my point.

David Cameron. Your post gave me a chuckle as well.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||I'm not talking about the 50's or 60's.||
What's happening now is unprecidented. A quarter a million a month coming to Europe with no end in sight is changing the face of Europe now. Not past policies in the 50's or 60's. Dave Cameron took alot of grief from some EU nations for his hardline stance on not taking in the refugees but stood his ground. What's happening in France now is not due to polices of the European nations 60+ years ago. It's created from the war, povetry and strife in Africa and the Middle East currently.

|2 weeks 1 day ago||Many people don't realize that Europe is being||
changed before our eyes. Over 200k+ a month are emigrating to Europe from Africa and Middle East and Europe won't be able to withstand this much longer. The EU called for an emergency immigration meeting earlier this week. They may suspend or cancel the free movement between EU nations because the flow of refugees is straining their resources.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Nothing surprises me anymore regarding Penn State||
My brother retired to Penn and I visit him and his family often. Having any type of common sense discussions with those Penn State/Paterno supporters is mind numbing. Must be nice living in denial and not accepting reality for what is it.

I ask my career destroyer (planner) to have Col. Mattis do it. At the time Mattis was the 7th Marines Regimental CO. The CP had told me Col Mattis is too busy, he's the Regimental CO. He would'nt do it. I said call him and ask because I served with him before and I knew him. Long story short, he reenlisted me and then asked my Company CO what we were doing the rest of the day. Field ops was the reply. Col Mattis told my Company CO that I had the day off to drink a beer and spend the day with the wife. Mattis is bad ass!!!

that Marine aviators wore the camo helmet covers in support of the grunts on the ground. Gotta love that.

11th Marines huh. What Battalion? Pendleton or 29 Palms? I was in 29 Palms with 1/7 Weapons Co. Did many a CAX, Steel Knight exercises with 3/11 support.

- Toys R Us needs to be aware of stores like Walmart and Target to be competitve
- Toys R Us needs to be up to speed on current trends as for toys and electonics, specifically naming Star Wars products should be moving this Xmas
- Hiring 40k seasonal employees
- Closing the Manhatten store next to the CNBC studio due to high NY rental prices and too spacious for a store like Toys R Us
Nothing to earth shattering. He sounded like every other CEO being interviewed on CNBC. As I stated in a previous post, he sounded competent. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I buy into it. If it wasn't for his past history as AD and us knowing about that period, you wouldn't have known about the chaos and turmoil he created. Again, he sounded like every other CEO being interviewed.
