Is anyone else being kicked to Dick's when opening MGoLinks?

So, are the OSU away tickets way up at the top of C deck? Because, if so, those tickets suck. And, has there been an rumor/rumble/idea of anything to replace the Football Saturdays program, especially for lifetime members?
|3 weeks 4 hours ago||Yeah||
If 3.30 start or later, I may head over to Bill Davis for the game. Will already be in UA for a football game. UM hasn't been down here for baseball for a long time. Anyone know why there's so much time between appearances?

I think this makes everything much worse for Rutgers. Well played? Well played.

I've seen the Who twice in the past couple of years, once on Quadrophenia tour, once on Who Turns 50 tour. Both pretty good shows. Seeing Pete Townsend is a highlight, no matter what you think about the band overall. Roger's voice was good both times, and Ringo Starr's kid plays the drums.
Also saw the Stones at the Horseshoe last summer, incredible show. And, Dylan in town last summer (back to back nights with the Who). All that said, I'm no where near 70 and am tentatively planning a Desert Trip next fall. So, easy on all the geriatric shit.

I liked Spike, a lot, but you have to think there may be issues with his mobility after having surgery on both hips. If the Michigan staff believed he would be a major contributor, they would have offered him a spot on the team. If not, it's very reasonable to consider another, younger option. We can't have it both way - demand excellence from the team and have angry feels for every player who moves on. I wouldn't be surprised to see Spike spend decent minutes on the bench next season. Wish him well in life though!

Everyone needs to call or email the AAUM and voice your disappointment. This is literally the only program that gave membership any value. I joined last year as a lifetime member on the promise that I would have priority access to tickets. They even threw in a "free" pair to OSU game. Looking back, I now realize this membership push was likely in anticipation of this announcement. Seems very sketchy. Hell, even OSU maintains a ticket program for alums.

Mike Greenberg was completely losing his shit about this on his little radio show. I hope this decision gives him as much joy as the previous decision gave him blinding rage. Such a baby.

This must mean Rutgers to the curb and ND to the B1G for all sports. There. Fixed.

We'll need to step up the voting pace. Local TV station featured Thad Matta and his campaign to help the Ronald McDonald House down here. May be a flood of new voters from Ohia.

Another symbolic recruit for Urbz at OSU. I wouldn't expect him to be a big part of their plan at LB, but sends a clear message when you take a recruit from a high school across the street. Would be like Michigan taking a recruit from Upper Arlington, probably worse. Once the kid sees who's being recruited around him and who already sits in front of him on the depth chart at OSU, he should more clearly see what's happening.

We'll be there. Always look forward to grown men talking shit to my 7-year-old son. Not as bad as the Shoe, but still some dumb folks involved. Maybe more importantly, who's going to the hockey game at Nationwide on 3/6? Looks like lots of cheap lower bowl seats available.

No way. Bad team this year. Losses to La Tech and UT-Arlington, blown out several times. They've got players, just seem super disjointed.

Does unknown Iowa senator know that the Stanford campus is known as "The Farm"? Their marching band posted a (sort-of reasonable) explanation for the halftime show on their FB page. I'm not sure anyone really cares about this anymore. The Stanford band is sweet!

This sucks, but you know the State coaches are feeding this. I hope this kid knows that there are fringe idiots in every fan base. He would just need a quick convo with any of State's decommits to confirm.

"ESPN is a dying dying paper, It's circulation is way down. Not very many people read him anymore. People don't even think about ESPN. I guess they want to get a little publicity. But that's a dying paper. I got to tell you, it's pretty much a dead paper."
|18 weeks 9 hours ago||Ethics||
So, what are the ethical implications for a player (Jordan Elliot x 3, Michael Dwumfour, Antwaine Richardson, Nate Johnson, etc, etc) who decommit from a program less than a week before signing day? Tyus Battle decommitted from the basketball team after Michigan passed on other players, which had a significant effect on their class.
In the case of Rashad Weaver, he has been visiting other schools since November. This is a two-way street. If the players/parents/coaches have the ability to decommit at any time, with any amount of notice, why are the schools bound to stand by commitments indefinitely? Nobody knows, or will know, the entire story with any of these kids. We don't know what conversations took place between the school and commit, and we don't know what other dynamics are at play in these negotiations. This is a big boy college football program with big boy expectations. Feelings will be stepped on, everywhere. Valenti's favorite school gave the same treatment to a commit just last season. No difference, may have been worse.
|18 weeks 4 days ago||Indecision||
I went to junior high school with a kid who played basketball at 4 different high schools in 4 years, then 2 different colleges. We should collectively follow Jordan Elliott through his college career. Guaranteed he doesn't finish at Texas, or Michigan. Maybe he starts at Texas and finishes at Michigan? So, we get his best years! Win. Win.
|18 weeks 6 days ago||Nuts||
Agree 1 million percent. We're in an alternate universe in which a "commit" is making a decision to "commit" to one of three schools. Seems like the word commit could be replaced with a more accurate word. "In like with"?
