“The player development is the main thing I like (about Michigan),” Williams said. “You can see that they develop their players. They get them in the gym and they work them hard. And their hard work pays off.”

I have been to about ten games in the Big House and have been a Michigan fan for most of my life. This was the first and only time I have gone to a big game. Most games I had gone to were lesser opponents. I did go to see Notre dame play Michigan one time. This specific time was really special though because we beat Ohio after years of being on the losing end.
What made it even more special is that I am from Dayton, Ohio, and everyone in my family are fans of Ohio. That and it continued the winning streak of games I have attended. I have only seen Michigan win in the Big House. Knock on wood that continues.

I get so confused by people already saying it is obvious that MSU is a better team than us. Sure at the end of last year they were by far the better team. However, I don't get why everyone is asuming that they are automatically a Big 10 world beater. They could be solid, but they could be average. Just like we could be a lot of things. Am I just wearing the Maize and Blue goggles? Is MSU automatically that good?

I would have been okay with Peppers wearing 2. However, I like the sound of him wearing number 5 and starting his own legacy. I almost bet that the reason Countess is wearing number 2 is because they are giving out the Woodson legacy jersey this year. Countess has proven to be a solid player and would be a great person to wear the legacy jersey.

Saying or Yelling Go Blue! and seeing a grin on his or her face because there is a bond between us as Michigan fans. Mostly due to the fact we know we have to face Ohio fans everyday in our lives and there is a sense of comradery.

I almost forgot what it felt like to watch a running back for Michigan that could run the ball like Tyrone Wheatley did. Just watching those highlights made my eyes water. I sure hope we are blessed to be able to watch someone as special as he was play for Michigan again.
Some of those runs made me wonder what it would have been like if Denard was our full time running back from day one. Some of the plays Denard made were just as exhilarating.

Wasn't he a huge Michigan fan growing up? That is two kids in this class that claimed to be big fans of Michigan only to decommit. That is the only thing about this situation that bothers me. However, I only want people that are interested in playing for Michigan to come to Michigan. I just wish we could get more of these good players who grew up passionate with Michigan to stay committed. That is one reason I am so excited about Peppers. Not only is he a high skilled player, but he also grew up passionate about Michigan.
|11 weeks 4 days ago||I agree on him not looking that fast, but ...||
It looks like he really creates his own angles. I am only a fan of football, and I don't claim to be a coach. However, it seemed to me that he did a really good job at evading the defenders by running smart and creating his own angles.

I wonder if it means that he will be wearing a legends jersey, or the staff said he could have number 2?
|17 weeks 2 days ago||Just win!||
I think any of the teams left will pose a difficult challenge. We need to just stay focused an play smart ball.

I grew up watching the Dayton Flyers. I couldn't be happier to have Dayton and Michigan in the Sweet 16!

Can anyone from MGoBlog join? I wouldn't mind participating in making a bracket.

I was referring to it as being unsportsmanlike behavior. I also think it sounds lame. I prefer the Go Blue! and always have. It places the emphasis on the fact that our team made a good play and brings energy to the atmosphere.
|23 weeks 4 days ago||Lack of sportsmanship.||
I agree this is classless and shows a lack of sportsmanship. There is one thing I wish Michigan would stop doing during football games that I think is classless. That is when the other team doesn't get a first down on third down, and the students all yell, "You suck!"

Is he not 18 yet? Why would a kid need his parents signature to attend college?
|24 weeks 5 days ago||I think he will pick Michigan State.||
Once he gets a scholarship from a college, he will no longer be dependent on his family. If he wants to go there bad enough, he will go there.

I have a feeling Malik is trending toward Michigan State, and that this is the parents worrying about his perception about loving Michigan State's atmosphere. I can see Malik still choosing Michigan State. All I can picture is a highschool kid at the Under Armour game choosing the opposite school his mother wants. Then, the mother showing disgust and anger because of her sons choice. If the parents had their way, I believe, Malik would be coming to Michigan. However, since they think he wants Michigan State and for the reasons he has already made known, they are now saying they want him to go out of state.
|25 weeks 2 days ago||What is Michigan's ranking?||
It is nice to see Michigan's wrestling team doing so well. I am from Ohio, and it was actually Michigan's wrestling team that got me interested in Michigan football. When I was in gradeschool, I was a wrestler and Michigan was well known for their wrestling team.
|25 weeks 2 days ago||I don't see any harm with this situation.||
I think people can spin this a lot of different ways to either look good or bad. We only have a little information to go by, so no one really knows if Mattison purposely interrupted Narduzzi or not. Also, I too am curious where people are reading that this is a race between everyone else, but Michigan. The little information I have gathered is that no one knows one way or another how this will turn out. I am keeping my hopes up; and I am also happy with the group we have committed to us currently.
|25 weeks 4 days ago||I think it is funny.||
I am not an avid watcher of the show, so maybe that is why I find it amusing. The same goes for Two and a Half Men. I think it is pretty darn funny at times, but not something that is a must watch.
|25 weeks 5 days ago||What I love is the announcer.||
After they show a replay of the Michigan State player all over the Iowa player's back, the announcer says, "He got it clean." These announcers are jokes.
|25 weeks 5 days ago||Are you kidding?||
They have two NBA gaurds. The refs are just preparing them for the big leagues.
|25 weeks 5 days ago||This is very confusing.||
I hope there was no coverup. All I can think of is Penn State's recent problem with Sanduski and Paterno. I know this would not be as serious of a case because it was a student. However, this would be horrible if it was in fact a coverup.
|25 weeks 6 days ago||I can't wait until signing day!||
I would love to end all this speculation and accept the kids that sign their letters of intent to Michigan. I hope that McDowel joins that group.
|26 weeks 1 day ago||OT?||
I thought Kate Upton is never off topic? And nice post!
|26 weeks 2 days ago||Regarding Campbell||
I get a feeling that he was swayed away from his family and has lost that desire to come here. Also, this makes me think it is more unlikely that he will want to play here because it sounds like he cares more about what his family thinks. I don't believe this is a bad thing necessarily. Some people are family people. However, if he was truely a Michigan fan his whole life and then all the sudden allowed his parents to change his mind about coming here, that tells me his parents probably don't want him that far away.
|26 weeks 5 days ago||What is his relationship to Michigan?||
Does he have a family member that played for Michigan? I noticed he is from California and to have Michigan as his dream school is pretty cool. Also, I don't really know much about him, but I like the pass rushing ability from his highlights. I would love for MIchigan to finally get some players who can put consistent pressure on the other teams quarterback. It has been far too long.
|26 weeks 6 days ago||Regarding Harris decommitting||
I just don't understand why these kids commit to a coach over a school. Especially in the case that this kid has said Michigan has always been his favorite school. I feel like this might not be different from Campell because he is from Kentucky, and not Ohio or MIchigan.
This is just my own speculation because I get a feeling kids that say they love Michigan and don't live in the battlefield of the rivalry, probably don't have deep attachment to the school.
Me being from Ohio and having to deal with my family and friends bashing Michigan my whole life, has of course deepened my passion for the school. I know everyone is different. I try to put myself in these kids situations, and I could never see my self decommitting from Michigan, if given the opportunity to play there.
|27 weeks 57 min ago||Is Harris that good?||
I don't mean this as a way to put down Harris. I am asking, honestly, if he is that good to not take another runningback. I know I have repeatedly seen people on here post that we are light on running back depth and having a need for more runningbacks on the roster. I have to admit I am extremely ignorant when it comes to the depth issue, and what we need. I would think even if Harris is that good, he would not mind some competition.
|27 weeks 4 hours ago||I agree 100% about your assessment of Crabtree.||
I never understood how Sherman could say that Crabtree was only an average widereceiver. Crabtree was double covered and had no opportunity to get to the ball.

Can anyone tell me where I can listen to Sam Webb's discussion on recruiting matters? I live in Dayton, Ohio and would be interested in hearing him talk about recruiting.
