Why did he drop the ball? Why did he not have more time to recover from the error? Why wasn't his first reaction to fall on it? Why didn't he have any support in the backfield to minimize the effect of a catastrophic play during the last seconds?
All of these factors have solutions that go beyond a single person making a single decision.

... I'll bite. Punting is a relatively high risk play. You long snap the ball and there is a certain probability that it will be botched. Whenever you put the ball in the air, you lose control of it. Hopefully you get it back, but it's never guaranteed, and your game plan needs to mitigate that risk in critical situations. A lot of moving parts have to come together to complete a successful punt and a certain proportion will go wrong, period. Quit trying to look for one person to point the finger at. If you understand football, you understand that "it's a team game" is not simply coach speak. That's 101. Thanks for contributing.

Coaching. How do you not have someone (Peppers maybe) lined up behind O'Neill in case of a botched snap? Situation like that, I didn't like the punt to begin with. Putting the ball in the air for a long snap is risky and it's a critical moment. Defense stepped up the whole 4th qtr especially on State's last drive. Would have preferred another run attempt and take our chances if we didn't convert. State would have only had one play opportunity if they got the ball.

the degree is all that matters. what classes you took or even how good your grades are diminish in importance drastically upon graduation, and continue to diminish until completely irrelevant after about a year. what helps open doors and increase salary is the prestige of having a U of M degree.

Russia has a ton of millionaires and billionaires... it's just that all the money and power is centralized in Moscow. their entire bureaucratic system is designed to funnel money to the center. the Muscovites farm their subjects, simple as that

different animals. one is a player who went to a school to give himself a good opportunity to succeed and had a good career doing his job. the other is a malevolent schmuck who made it his life's work to undermine the greatest thing in the world and did so by cheating to create an unearned competitive advantage. apples to oranges, bro.
