So the poor kid will wear Leveon Bell jerseys while driving and smoking weed at the same time?
Give him more credit than that.

# 59 Steve Strinko.
Great middle linebacker.
|1 day 15 hours ago||Bruce Madej||
Funny I was thinking about Bruce last nite. How he would be rolling over in his grave if he saw how everything douchey Brandon has said or done or texted turns into a PR nightmare.
Then I remembered that Bruce isn't dead yet.

Messages like personal foul after personal foul after personal foul the last 7 years? Or chop blocking below the knees of Mike Martin and Willie Henry? State's coaches teach those things, like "60 minutes of necessary roughness." Dantonio is an ass, and needs to be dealt with like one.

Will be praying, not for something as trivial as a victory, but for you and your family.

I am the father of a current student so I guess I'm one of the "daddys" that Brandon is referring to. But my daughter paid for her own tickets this year.

I was a freshman in 1974, and football season tickets for the year cost $7.00 (for seven games!) One dollar per game. Also, the legal drinking age was 18 and you could buy a six pack of Old Milwaukee for 99 cents (no bottle deposit.) Those were the days!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Malzone will be the next great Michigan QB.
Don't get me wrong I like Morris, he just isn't accurate enough to be a good QB. Couple that with his questionable decision making and not being patient enough, and I don't really see him having much of a positive impact for the next two years.
I've seen both of them play extensively in high school and IMO Malzone is light years beyond what Morris is (even now). He reads defenses better, is more accurate, and has better touch on his throws. He eerily reminds me of a certain QB who played here in the 1980's. Same build, similar arm strength, similar defense reading ability, similar accuracy, similar toughness. Who you ask? None other than Jim Harbaugh!

Tweeting at a player that the team is 'garbage' is not the same as saying that the team played like 'garbage'.
If you don't understand the difference, sayonara!

Eisenreich was a good outfielder; his condition is known as 'Tourette's syndrome".
|8 weeks 1 day ago||Yips are well-known, though uncommon||
Getting a case of the 'yips' is a well-know malady especially in baseball, although not that common. Other than the players already mentioned in this thread, known cases go all the way back to Hall-of-Fame pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander taking a short of bourbon between innings of his starts to help with them, to more recent cases like former pitcher Dontrelle Willis. Hall-of-Fame outfielder Dale Murphy started his professional career as a catcher but turned to the outfield after he couldn't make the simple throw back to the pitcher. Throwing to the bases was okay, he just got the yips throwing it to the pitcher, and sometimes resorted to rolling it back to him! Other known cases are second baseman Steve Sax, pitcher Steve Blass, and others. The problem can be dealt with behaviorally; most remedies have the subject focus on a particular point with their eyes before releasing the ball, causing their mind to concentrate on the point and not on the throwing motion itself. The problem is that this type of therapy can take months and is no sure cure, what might work for one player might not work for another. It is a very real illness, and I wish Stave luck in trying to overcome it.

|10 weeks 1 day ago||Barrett replacing Miller||
Anyone thinking the Bucks won't miss Braxton Miller are being silly. He is the 2-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the year! Barrett hasn't seen live game action in over 2 years. There will be a drop off, and it will be momentous.
|13 weeks 1 day ago||Tickets for 2014||
My daughter, a current student at UM, received an e-mail a few days ago from the Ath. Dept. informing her that since she is a student season ticket holder, she has the opportunity to buy 2 additional tickets to every home game this year. $20 for App st. and $40.00 for all the other home games. They can be transferred to anyone without validation fees. So basically you can get 2 season tickets for a total of $520.00! ($20 x 2 + $40 x 6) x 2= $520.00. The only issue is that they are not always in the same sections, but they are 2 together for each game. I had to take advantage of that opportunity.

Excellent middle linebacker from the early 1970's.

Like the old joke says, Craft is a great outside shooter. Too bad they play their games inside.
|26 weeks 2 days ago||More than just a 'local kid'||
I have seen Malzone play numerous times, and I think he should be offered but not just because he's a 'local kid'. I also saw Shane Morris play numerous times in HS as well. and IMO Malzone was the better and more productive QB. True, he doesn't have a lot of foot speed, but what he does extremely well is move around in the pocket under duress. Side to side and up and back he will find a way to get out of trouble. He doesn't have Shane's cannon, but his arm is strong enough and more accurate. He's also very tough physically, last season he took some vicious hits against Orchard Lake St. Mary's and got up every time. The other thing that I like about him is that he will audible out of a bad play call once he previews the defense at the line of scrimmage. This is rare at the high school level and speaks to his game intelligence and trust from his coaches. Some college offensive coordinators don't even allow this (see Borges, Al). Don't be fooled by his 3 star rating; as Bo once said he'd rather have a lower-rated recruit who wanted to be at Michigan than a higher-rated recruit who wasn't fully committed. Just for the record I have no affiliation with Brother Rice (my son plays for a different team in the Catholic League). This kid's a winner, and if he's not winning for Michigan he will be winning for a different school.

Why not Dan Dickerson for play by play?
|29 weeks 1 day ago||Probably not...||
Probably not. But Usain Bolt doesn't own any records like passing for 2500 yards and running for 1500 yards in the same season either.
|30 weeks 3 days ago||John Beilein as M head coach||
I've been a Michigan basketball fan since the mid 1960's. I've seen every one of our coaches since then: Strack, Orr, Frieder, Fisher, Ellerbee, Amaker, Beilein (have I missed anyone)? Since Beilein became our coach, there are three things that I have never had to worry about:
1. Going into any game worrying that we will be outcoached.
2. Going into any game worrying that his team will not give maximum effort.
3. Going into any season wondering if his players improved in the off-season or whether they will get better during the course of the season.
Not too shabby.

That is one beautifully written article, one of the best I've ever read on mgoblog. And Jordan Morgan deserves ever word of it.
|34 weeks 11 hours ago||Saw Yzerman, Gordie, and Lidstrom||
I personally saw Gordie Howe, Steve Yzerman, and Nick Lidstrom all play for the Red Wings. Every time Gordie was on the ice, he was the baddest. Every time Nick was on the ice, he was the best. Including when he and Stevie were on the ice at the same time.

Along with Cazzie and Buntin, don't forget 'the Big O'...Oliver Darden.
|36 weeks 5 hours ago||Maybe you haven't seen them play but I have||
Realfootballfan-Have you ever seen any of these players play: Cazzie Russell, Henry Wilmore, Rudy Tomjanovich, Campy Russell, Rickey Green, Roy Tarpley, Gary Grant (not going to mention players in the last 25 years; I assume that you have seen them). Webber was great, but one dimensional on offense, most of his points came on dunks and tip-ins. I'll take the players I've mentioned as I have personally seen every single one of them play, including Webber.
|36 weeks 8 hours ago||You must be kidding||
Buccaneer-9: you must be joking. I can name at least ten players who were more talented than Webber or Rose. Rudy T., Glen Rice, Cazzie...just to start with a few.
|38 weeks 2 days ago||Webb||
I don't have a problem with what Webb said about 'the better program'. OSU's football program is better RIGHT NOW. It's up to Michigan's football program to change that.
