|2 days 6 hours ago||I, for one, thank you.||
Just wanted to check the board quickly before getting to stuff I'm actually supposed to do, and saw the link. A story I know about and was happy to click before being responsible.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||So the missed xtra point was just strategy?||
Got home in time to watch the Giants pull out a victory in the last few seconds in time for them to switch to the Lions game while reading this thread. They're going to lose because of a missed extra point?
Who'd a thunk it.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Definitely after||
Finally watching the tape, and the Notre Dame revival hope was just a couple minutes ago.

(Just assuming he's from California...)
"Hey, Mom! I met a total stranger who knows who Devin is!"
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Agree. Until he said "Hi, Mom."||
Then that huge smile to the camera gave him away.
(He definitely looks slimmer and healthier. Wonder if his torso is all taped up to give more protection to his spine.)
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Was he called for targeting?||
Or was Mom the ref?
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Higher than the OP tweet suggests||
9 tackles (3 1/2 for a loss), 2 sacks and one forced fumble.
Considering he hardly got on the field since he got here, kept having to look at my roster. Who's this #9? Oh. Of course. Grant Perry.
He was zipping around so un-LB-like, looked so slender, I forgot we were on defense. Add another great feel-good story.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||No, but Richard Ash is||
He made the Jags as an UDFA last year after his post-Michigan year at Western Michigan, spent most of the year on the practice squad but was put on the active roster near the end of the season. They probably have enough depth currently on the D-line but like him well enough to continue developing him on the PSq this year and have him handy in case they need to activate him during the season.
PS: They still have 3 spots for their PSq, and many teams haven't yet finalized their squads so there's still a chance for some others who were in the final cuts. Brennan Beyer made the Ravens' squad for the second year.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||He had to retire from the Rams because of injury||
He'd been placed on IR by the Rams, but never was able to come back and retired "because of injury" in 2014. Apparently he tried to come back and was invited to the Falcons camp earlier this year, but they never signed him, so I'm assuming he never completely returned to his pre-injury ability.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Both he and Woodley were playing LB for them||
But both were put on injured reserve, just a month apart, late last year. Neither's on the current roster.
However, Larry Foote became the ILB coach for AZ, so there's that. And Harold Goodwin, former M O-lineman, is their Offensive Coordinator.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Just listening to the replay of the radio broadcast||
while reading this, and they're reporting the Taco injury. "Taco Charlton took a really nasty blow." "Looking for anything positive..." Would so hate to see him miss playing time in his last year, with all the preseason hype.
Angry M-hype-hating Gods!
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Saw him on the sidelines of the game yesterday (on TV)||
smiling happily with a current player, so I was hoping he already had positive news.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||The theory by some who expected this||
was that Orlovsky, who's only on a one-year contract, would be there to mentor Rudock under the system so he could become the official #2 the following year.
[Sort of a variation of what 4Life said above.]
|3 weeks 5 days ago||I'm worried about Charlton||
Not necessarily more than Mone, but Taco looked like he was in much more pain on the field, and though some said he wasn't limping coming off the field... I rewatched the film, and by the time he got to the sidelines (and maybe thought no one was watching), he was definitely being gingerly about putting weight on the one leg.
Worried that it's the MGoBlog Preview-Hating Gods at work. Certainly hope I'm wrong.
|4 weeks 4 hours ago||But if he's also visiting Harvard||
it sounds like he also wants to play school. Serious school. (Yes, Duke's there too.) And the crystal balls are before he's seen Ann Arbor. Not a sure thing, but not entirely an unsure thing either.

Add in 4 rushes for 31 yards, with a long of 17.
|4 weeks 19 hours ago||I was going to complain about the red Meijer taking over||
Too much red on a Michigan playing surface. But now I see the Flagstar was red before. Somehow the prominence of the big block M and the maize Health System block M makes the red less noticeable. (Trying to avoid the ad hate discussion to focus on the red. Which unfortunately makes the ads even more blatant.)

I couldn't figure out why he'd name his kid after Esiason. This makes much more sense.

Good choice! And good work!
|4 weeks 3 days ago||Our noon game v. Hawaii in Hawaii||
I keep worrying about my dear Michigan-born friend in Hawaii who'd probably want to watch the game, but unless it's on tape-delay it'll start at... What time is dawn in Honolulu this time of year?
|4 weeks 5 days ago||The Jets 3rd-string WRs are being kinder to Hackenberg||
First preseason appearance, 4 of 6 for 75 yds and a TD.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||Any Ojemudia sightings?||
He's #53, and playing the same position as Brennen Beyer (#45).
|4 weeks 5 days ago||Turning this into the M-alum preseason thread...||
The Jets & Giants used to always have M players, but this year they're down to only one each, both 9-year vets and stars, and both went out with injuries in the first half.
Leon Hall for the Giants, in his first year post-Bengals IR. Injury was after making a great tackle, but word is he may have had a concussion. David Harris has been with the Jets his whole career, still a starter, still playing at his best. Don't remember him ever having injury issues, but he looked like he was in pain. [Just reported that he has a shoulder injury. Saying he wouldn't have played in the 2nd half anyway. Some consolation.]
If it makes you feel better about the Lions, the Giants look awful, and apparently did so the last two weeks.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||Sending his young kids to school...||
And don't they have another one on the way? So you figure he's added at least another 18 years to the commitment, not to mention not daring to go back on uprooting his parents so they could babysit...

The perfect profile for the heads side of an MGoBlog coin toss.
(Suggestions open for the tail.)

Bledsoe got injured, unheralded low draft pick lifetime-backup goes on as understudy. And never leaves. (Football air issues are an unrelated data subset.)
