This relates to the JH interview and the talk of his personality. I played football for 10 years. Youth ball to three years of D2 ball. I had a lot of head Coaches because of the poor high school program I played in. I know this board has former D1 players, high school ballers, etc. What kind of Coach did you prefer or what is your preferred style? I had two jackhammer style Coaches and they were by far the best and I liked them the most. I would still suit up at 57 years old for and play for those men on my one good knee. Alex Boone is full of BS. Bring on the jackhammer and the winning begins.
This is my second thread ever - I'll not joke(wet noodle) and choose better terms next time. Not the best thread, but a little fun and the jackhammer girl is 5 star talent.
In this press release announcing the Minnesota kickoff time, MGoBlue writes:
With primetime selections through the networks and Big Ten Conference office now complete, Michigan will not host a night game this season at Michigan Stadium. Kickoff times for the remainder of the 2015 season will be announced in coordination with those partners.
Ohio State team captain Michael Bennett gave President Obama bunny ears during their team photo at the White House.
And his now deleted tweet:
Did the bunny ears show up on TV or was it too late?— Mike (@mike63bennett) April 20, 2015
ESPN revealed their first rankings for 2016 recruits.
Players of note:
Brandon Peters #142 (committed)
Matt Falcon #246 (committed)
Rashan Gary #1
Michael Jordan #110
Khalid Kareem #126
Donnie Corley #261
Lavert Hill #265
If there is anybody else of note you want added, let me know. I know we have offered a lot of kids for 2016, but I have no clue who of those are high on Michigan.
So excited for football season!
I watched the Real Sports piece on Jim Harbaugh and came away with a couple thoughts:
1. I would never offer JH any 2% candy-ass milk with his cookies.
2. He, like so many other Michigan alumni, has a deep love for our Alma Mater.
Seemingly, so does every other Michigan alumnus, athlete and aficionado. It seems like every interview, soundbite and scrap of Michigan information contains a confirmation of that devotion. (we all know Brady Hoke would have walked to Michigan) Everyone who participates in this epic adventure known as MGoBlog suffers the same addiction. Hell, I bet if Michigan had a checkers team we'd all be "buckled up" and awaiting its next commit too. This brings me to my question:
What other colleges/universities do you feel cultivate that level of enthusiasm, love and support from their alumni/fanbase? For example, I always see Miami guys proudly proclaiming their affiliation with the U, but I don't get that sense of lifelong connectedness that I see or hear when Michigan fathful talk about our school. So again I ask, who's got it better than us?
