here's one vote for "John Beilein's head in a Futurama jar"
I saw this article on annarbor.com and thought I would pass it on to you. John Pollack was a founder of the Save the Big House and they interviewed him to see what he has to say now that it was done.
Then the next part of the article is about Brock Mealer and I didn't realize he is currently enrolled at Ohio State for a graduate degree but he had a great quote
"I figure if I can get two degrees from Ohio State, it might be close to Elliott’s undergraduate degree"
And the last part was comparing Denard to Pat White.
Anyway here is the link, enjoy:
Has anyone seen or have access to any photos from of the stadium yesterday?
I would love to see an overhead shot or a wide shot of the 113,000.
It is game week and I am jacked up. However, with the rededication taking place Saturday, I have some questions on times. Ever since my dad started taking me to games back in 1994, every opening weekend, we would go watch the drumline at Revelli Hall. As a student, I have continued this for the first game every year to watch the drumline. They usually come out about an hour and a half before kickoff. So my question is, with the festivities being held before the game, what time will the drumline be playing? Also, what time will the rededication start? I want to make sure I am in the stadium to see it all. Is the schedule online somewhere?
The first 25,000 fans get commemerative bottles and everyone else gets regular ones. I think this is a fantastic response by the athletic department to help alleviate some of the fears folks have.
Google, of all companies, should be trustworthy to make U of M look great, right? Well, I'm sure this wasn't intentional, but they better get it cleaned up, quick!
I decided to check Google Maps to see if they had updated their satellite photos of Ann Arbor yet to include the stadium additions. They did, but the photos were taken when the field was stripped off! It's bare concrete. it looks terrible!
C'mon, Google! Wait for a new photo on the next satellite flyby. Edit the old field back in there. Something! Now Michigan stadium is gonna look like a construction zone for the next 5 years! They did it the last time, too! The last photo was up forever, when they had a section of seats all torn out to get a crane in there.
