who fails upward better: Whitlock, Kiffin, or Brandon?
era of infinite pain
In the wake of another dong punch loss to a rival in a sport in which we have generally excelled, I was remembering the good ol' days. Specifically, when was the last time one of the three major sports didn't make me want to dig out my eyes and sautee them.
My pick would be 1998
- Basketball's last visit to the dance prior to entering the dark ages.
- Jan 1st; Football wins the Rose Bowl and the 1997 National Championship. Even an 0-2 start in September '98 didn't make me look for the wok.
- Hockey wins the national championship...their 9th.
And as a bonus the Red Wings ring in the Summer with a second straight Stanley Cup.
Has their been a better year than that? For Michigan or any other school out there?
