My "Ohio" thought balloon went over like lead, which is totally okay! I really like the "Confessions" thread as it is always nice to vent a little bit.
However, here positivity reigns.
What are the things that make you love Michigan?
It doesn't have to be related to football or even athletics. I'll suggest some sharing some of the smaller, more subtle points that you love about this great Michigan of ours, but you're welcome to pull the "Most Wins" card, as we are all appropriately proud of it. Here's some of mine:
- The moment you walk underneath the entry portal and Michigan Stadium opens up to you.
- Holding a fist in the air for M Fanfare.
- The Diag and Angel Hall
- Road-tripping senior year to Kansas City to watch MBB in their first tourney in a decade after spending many games in a Maize Rage with only a hundred or so others during some of the lower TA days.
- Jordan Morgan, Jordan Kovacs, Sierra Romero, Samantha Findlay, Zach Putnam, Steve Luke and Kellen Russel and countless other elite athletes that represent UM in the best way possible, yet don't get all the fanfare.
- Hoopin' at the IMSB
Let's hear them!
YouTube user 'Mitercut' has posted some incredible POV videos of Michigan Stadium and Ann Arbor. Mitercut uses a drone with a GoPro camera attached to get the views. Well worth the look!
EDIT: Sorry for the linking problem. The link is on the bold title.
Michigan vs Notre Dame UTL (II?) It starts out with a few seconds of darkness…wait for the shot!
Michigan Stadium in winter. (Preparing for hockey?)
Recently I've developed a new favorite hobby that I would like to share with all of you. I recently acquired a Blade 350 QX Quad Rotor and a Hero 3+ GoPro. For those of you who don't know, a quad rotor is like a helicopter but with four propellers instead of one:
Last week, I took it to the Big House for some flying. I was able to snap this angle:
You can watch the whole video here:
(sorry, don't know how to imbed)
Here's some other stuff that I've flown around on campus:
So if you're ever walking around campus or the Arb, and you see someone flying a quad rotor around, feel free to stop by and say hi! I'm happy to chat about it and answer questions.
I used to shop there back in the day.
Just stumbled on these great images from yesterday's snowy Winter Classic at the Big House on CBSSports and thought people might like to see them. How great is this?
If you attended, tell us what it was like!
