Everything this defense and Gibbons have gone through...a big stop and a big FG...amazing.
I'm sure like me, many of you are anxious for tonights game...so for those that would like to engage in some pre-game talk, here ya go!
To help spur on some conversation, here are some random thoughts I've had thus far today:
"Is Coach Hoke REALLY not going to eat today? The game won't be over until midnight due to the long halftime and commercial break."
"I hope we're ready to play in the odd lighting of a dome."
"I hope our coaches and players take into account that there may be fireworks set off pregame, it may affect the game early due to the smoke."
"Seriously, Coach, get a smoothie or something...techincally that's not "eating" is it?"
"Mike Martin is going to go buckwild tonight."
"Those jersey's aren't bad...I'd like to see them without the stripes."
"The B1G is stinking up the joint. We have to have a good showing"
"I hope this "no one says we should be here" mentality of VT doesn't give them an edge."
"I wonder if the guys are more or less nervous than the Ohio game?"
"Coach, I won't tell anyone, you can't go all day without eating, it's not safe...you're a big boy, but big boys gotta eat too!"

Here is an AWESOME article on THJ titled: Father hasn't always known best
"Absent of his father's criticism Tim Jr. began to see how he was leading his team and how heavily Palmetto coach Chris Brown relied on him. Brown had seen Tim Jr.'s maturity from day one.
Before, with the steep criticism, he thought he couldn't do anything well. But eventually, Tim Jr. began to see how his growth in the game was a process. How he had taken baby steps in every aspect of his game and how that had allowed him to take larger steps as a whole.
"He needed to fail and succeed on his own, without that added pressure, to reach his own potential," Brown said.
Brown saw the change in the Tim Jr. after the Coral Reef game. He saw a player who was more at ease, a player willing to take chances on the floor. In Brown's mind, it was Tim Jr.'s mindset that had always separated him from his peers. Between his junior and senior seasons, his body filled out and his game finally came together."
I've just gotten word that the Big East will be announcing its new members tomorrow.
I work at one of the institutions involved in this "mess" so we've just received a heads up.
San Diego St. and Boise St. will be football only members joining SMU, UCF and Houston. I believe Air Force and Navy will be a football only (named later).
3. Oklahoma State
6. Boise State
9. South Carolina
10. Kansas State
12. Virginia Tech
13. Michigan State
20. Penn State
21. Southern Mississippi
23. West Virginia
24. Florida State
For those curious, Mark Dantonio has Michigan State No. 12 and Michigan No. 13. And Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer had the Wolverines at No. 14.
Also interesting, LSU coach Les Miles was one of three coaches to have Michigan at No. 8 in his final poll -- joining Air Force's Troy Calhoun and Fresno State's Pat Hill. Wake Forest's Jim Grobe and San Diego State's Rocky Long had Michigan at its lowest position, No. 18.
Very weird/bitter Long would put Hoke at 18 after losing to the Wolverines and working for/with Coach Hoke and Borges.
