On the roundtable this week:

  • Technical difficulties! My headphones are out so I respond to all callers with "uh huh that sounds very interesting." I'll probably answer all questions with this phrase for the rest of time.
  • Ed thinks Minnesota is going to give Michigan a tough game and we're all like "lol wut".
  • Craig reiterates that he feels that the ideal number of players on a basketball team is four.
  • Basketball team has more than four players though.
  • oh no

I enjoy these roundtables, but it does feel like sometimes you guys just trot out takes to fill the hour.  How anyone can look at Minnesota and think that offense can move against UM's defense is silly; it might be a tough game if Minnesota plays inspired and UM shows some rust with two weeks off, but I don't see a way in which this isn't UM winning going away in the end.

If it was me, I would probably be lethargic after having my season destroyed by a fluke play by the most annoying team ever.

But hopefully the team has gotten over it and can grow.  B1G championships aren't everything.

anybody else think it was weird that Harbaugh said the team was "destroyed but not defeated."  I understand that it is Hemingway, I believe, but is not "detroyed" quite a bit worse of a fate than "defeated."  I heard him say that and try to take solace in it but the more I thought about it the more I realized that "destroyed" was not exactly the word I would have preferred there.

Our offense isn't good so going up against a good defense is always scary. 

 

In terms of the basketball team this was not a top 35 team at the end of the year.  Our wins in the big ten were osu (good), rutgers, illinois, nebraska, penn state, minnesota and northwestern.  We beat a bunch of bad teams.  The team played suprisingly well down the stretch, that didn't make it a good team.
