The show is presented by UGP & Moe's and their latest venture, the Bo Store, and frankly would not be happening without them; Rishi and Ryan and their people have been huge MGoBlog supporters from the start.

Offense

starts at 1:00

They weren’t relying on long-snapper completions but it was otherwise very much like the Sugar Bowl. DeMarcus Walker, their richer man’s Wormley, played tackle all game and worked Michigan’s guards. They go through each guy’s season and decide what the short take is on the 2016 starters. Yelling back at Twitter.

Defense

starts at 32:49

Other than three plays, two of which traceable to no Peppers, the defense was as advertised: it turns out he’s pretty important. Shit happens; in 2016 that means the worst possible shit that can happen. What the shit happened on the kickoff return?Pitbull is a national treasure.

MUSIC:

  • “Let’s Have a Real Good Time”—Pitbull
  • “Across 110th Street”

I can say I'm already a little depressed at the thought of no more football-oriented podcasts for almost 9 months. There have been times I've extended the walks just to finish the podcast.

One usage nit for Brian:

"Just dumping on [Deveon] and saying he shouldn't be playing is a bridge too far."

I only bring this up because I'm such a fan of the great WWII film based on the book by Cornelius Ryan, but the phrase "a bridge too far" is not quite interchangeable with the phrase "going too far"; rather it connotates a mission or goal that, however worthy, desirable, or even noble, is ultimately ill-advised if not doomed from the start. E.g., "Though having Mike McCray cover Dalvin Cook downfield would have solved a huge problem had it worked, it proved a bridge too far.

naturally I'd take the Camel. What'd you think I'd say?

Evidently there is a whole cottage industry that thinks about this question. This book seems on point:

On both the orange bowl halftime and dick clarks New Years rocking eve. And yes the lead singer is a Jonas brother. And yes I have two teenage girls. And yes my life in the car with the radio on is a living hell

I thought Harbaugh was right not to call those timeouts late. Didn't want to give FSU more time for a game winning drive. Obviously after the fact we can see they didn't need much time and it ended up hurting Michigan but there's no way to know that ahead of time.

Regardless, despite some questionable game/clock management we'd all rather have Harbaugh than RR/Hoke or hell, even James Franklin. So I'll take some weird moments like that in exchange for all the greatness Harbaugh brings us.

First and foremost my favorite intro song of the 90's, reminds me of the great years. Brian please don't change anything about the podcast it is so Wolverine. The wit and humor is never in short supply (Thank you Seth) oops yeah your funny too Brian. Thanx for another fun year and I agree they will only get better, thank you Jim Harbaugh for making UM football important again. Now get Najee and get a step or two closer to the B1G title next year..

but he put together a hell of a NYE show. Salt n Peppa, followed by Snoop Dogg, Young MC, Tone Loc, Biz Markee, and Naughty by Nature? That's my playlist (from 1998) and I was feeling it.... even though most of the male artists were sporting outfits from the Cliff Huxtable Collection.

the comments made in response to the "Fire Drevno" blog posts; I went on a couple of the Buckeye blogs and people were calling for Urban Meyer's head after the 31-0 loss to Clemson.  I guess there are always crazies in every fan base that want the coaches fired after every loss.

You guys are great and I enjoy listening to these during commute traffic. Best thing on the iPod IMO. Also, sorry I'll be that guy. FSU did have a fumble on the Hurst sack. Hurst didn't see it and was belly rubbing. Francois immediately recovered because as luck had it, it bounced right into his chest. I guess that is what you were getting at anyways. And thanks for mentioning luck. I'm happy to see that we were increasingly competitive with good teams as compared to last year. Luck's a bee-otch sometimes.
