MGoPodcast 5.14: Nuss Fuss

Nussmeier-introductory-press-conference[1]

Approximately 45 minutes.

WELCOME OBI WAN NUSSOBI

Here is your droid, now save us man. Nussmeier: a surprisingly shotgun guy who put it on his quarterback last year when he had to and he gets credit for that because he's a QB dude. Not much of a fullback guy. Might have been scapegoated a bit because that one redzone drive that one time ended in a missed field goal.

BASKETBALL

Nik Stauskas as the new and improved Darius Morris. Glenn Robinson III going from little dog to medium dog. Walton emerging. No one playing any defense. The Iowa 2011 of pick and roll D.

MUSIC

"Across 110th Street."

"Detroit or Buffalo," Amanda Shires. (Evidently a cover of a 1972 song by Barbara Keith.)

for the basketball MGoPodcast in December, so I made the Across 110th Street instrumental (aka the Michigan Replay opening) my ringtone. It wasn't hard to find it on YouTube since Brian did the legwork to find the actual title... thanks!

against the Lakes, and I can tell you, Nik--much as I love him--will never be able to play D like that. Nor will he ever be such a pretty passer. People here undervalued DMo just like they did Hardaway.

EDIT: So glad that Nuss turns out to be wide open in his philosophy. Thought I detected this when I first got wind the other night, but you guys are confirming. Word is that he didn't like Saban screaming at him, so I think this was pretty mutual. And Saban is deflecting a bit of the attention away from his failures on the other side of the ball. We'll take him!

Why is the podcast not appearing on the iTunes store/Podcast app? I'm on an Amtrak right now and they block streaming but figured I would listen via my phone, but the store is only updated to podcast 5.12.

Any help would be appreciated. I'll be on the train for another 4 hours...

EDIT: I subscribed to MGoBlog in the Podcast app and it appeared out of nowhere in "My Podcasts", but it still can't be located via search, in case anyone else is having the same problem.
