MGoPodcast 1.2: Western Preview
We're back with another attempt at casting pods into the nether reaches of space. This week we talk with Alan Rucker of Over The Pylon, a national college football blog with a Ball State bent, about Western Michigan and Stan Parrish's conversion from fusty grinder to spread acolyte. (Western Michigan blogs do not appear to exist.) Alan, happily, thinks the Broncos will get pounded.
This is the part where I might write some more stuff here, but I'm still attempting to finish the old season preview and the season starts in like two seconds. So I won't. One note: we had some audio issues so this one checks in at 16 minutes.

I'm the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. It's awful. If I'm on my way to the store to buy a magazine, even, and somebody asks me where I'm going, I'm liable to say I'm going to the opera. It's terrible.

+1 for the Michigan Replay music. I was expecting to hear some Big Boy and Absopure ads too.

Why am I so nervous about playing WMU? We're still Michigan aren't we? Oh just checking. UM has lost home openers two years in a row. Things have got to change soon. I'm getting too old for this mess. I feel like I'm getting ready to go down a really scary roller coaster!
Would some go and make a clone of Yost, Chrsyler, Oosterban, or Bo please! I'll even take Moeller. Just until RR can get things going. Okay, forget the clone! I'm looking for that Michigan confidence. I think it is in the closet. I'll dust it off. (Yeah, I know -1 point).

Interesting podcast. Thanks for putting that together.
It was weird to actually hear your voice. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that. I had the same reaction when I first heard a Bill Simmons podcast. It's funny how we have a voice in our heads as we read, but it's nothing like the real thing.
