I'm not saying you're wrong, but this is awfully remniscent of Denard's Heisman campaign in 2011.  Play shit defenses, get 40-50 touches a game, rack up huge stats, play a decent defense, end Heisman campaign.

Lamar Jackson is insane, but pretty numbers don't tell the entire story. Chryst probably says this, like lots of people, because Peppers plays a bunch of positions extremely well. He has non-zero numbers in about twice as many categories as most players.

Guy is talented no doubt but I think Jabril would give him a run for the money if he was a QB...and good thing Lamar Jackson runs those TDs cause Louisville would be #23 in the polls if he didn't......

But as Paul and Harbaugh opined, how many can impact the game in all 3 phases similar to how Jabrill can?

Sacks? Check

Punt returns/+ yardage by virtue of fair catches? Check

TFLs? Check

Ripping your screen page out of your playbook? Check?

In other words - Paul posits Jabrill is the best by virtue of his excellence in all positions he plays, not that he is necessarily the best at any single position.

I have to agree. Peppers is above average at all positions. But Jackson and even j. Lewis are elite college players that change the entire game. J. Lewis doesn't get nearly enough credit for shutting down half the field when he's out there.

So in my bubble of watching BIG 10, PAC and SEC football...Peppers is the best player I have seen this season. But what does this homer know.

Yes but technically Peppers has more than 8 billion times the TFLs as Jackson. 

peppers is likely the best rb on mich too.  he could easily have gotten 15 carries each game and scored 4-5 tds.  would that change the equation?
