I only caught the last 5 minutes. They looked good closing it out. Rebound margin was 36-32 for NC State. The way Patrick was talking, I expected it to be worse than that.

Season might hinge on wagners development. He looks like a relevation (though he was a high end recruit.) Doyle has been disappointing but maybe he too can develop as season goes on and regain some confidence

How unusual is it for a DIII player to transfer to a DI school--power 5 no less--and become a major contributor at the DI level? I don't have extensive knowledge of college basketball, but I've never heard of such a thing. Pretty incredible if Robinson can keep this up!

the thing is, Robinson received some D1 offers out of high school. he chose DIII because of the liberal arts program that his old college offered. I don't think people realized he wasn't a total scrub player, and he didn't exactly come out of nowhere.

Yeah, I saw that too--Ivy League interest but no offers. Had an offer from DII Merrimack College in Massachusetts. So obviously he was a very good high school player, but it's not just the fact that he transferred and was offered a scholarship--he's already one of the better players on a pretty good team, and he could break the starting lineup soon. That's a huge leap!

Hope Walton gets healthy quick. But still, we won a road game against a probable ACC tournament team while being cold from three and having no Walton for the most part. Overall very positive.

yep. I've been saying that last year, aside from the injuries, we really missed Stauskas' three point shooting that made our offense hum. Robinson brings that back. now, Trey>Walton and Stauskas > Robinson and McGary > our 3 headed Monster... but Robinson is a crucial to our offense

This team is extremely talented. We just have to piece it together. Did not see much Kam or D.J. tonight. I think those two will have to contribute against the bigger teams down the road if we are going to win the Big Ten.

Duncan Robinson is a better spot up shooter than Nik Stauskas. Sauce was a lot better off the dribble and could get to the lane more often, but off of a pass Robinson's shot is just so pure

He is a rare case where going lower in the draft would have been better.

His skills work with a more established team.

If you play good on a more established team, you can manipulate yourself into getting a huge payday the way money is handed out in the NBA.
