"Northwestern fans can be both heartened and disheartened by the loss to Minnesota just like how nineteenth-century resurrectionists were heartened when they pried a heart from a freshly-buried corpse and then disheartened it when they sold it to a disreputable anatomist."
Zook or Kirk factor - who's worse?
From the looks of it, he didn't really care whether he won or not.
That was an ugly game. Not much fight out of Iowa players or the coaching staff.
The offense was it's usual GERG tire fire. At some point you are what you are, that does fall on the coaching staff.
The Iowa defense held up its end of the bargain. Holding the Nebraska offense to 13 points actually is very impressive.
In incompetence at every level. Those kids deserved better than that.
You could tell they just wanted to say "WTF SNAP THE DAMN BALL" Even after the INT they were talking about the awful playcalling/clock management.
They also were criticizing their extreme conservative run the ball, especially on a 3rd and 4 near midfield.
That was a pretty pathetic showing. I struggle to understand what exactly Ferentz and the coaching staff did to turn Vandenberg into a totally useless qb in just one offseason. Iowa looked lacksadaisical, like they were looking forward to the end.
They're playing for the draft pick. They plan on drafting Tim Duncan.
How dare you talk a about Ferentz that way. That man is a saint. He won 11 games 10 years ago!
He's won a total of 11 games in the last two seasons combined!
Yea but remember 2007??!
That's because Zook would probably punt in OT
Michigan is the best team in the Legends division and probably the conference. It's clear for me, but I guess we will really find out more tomorrow.
Time for Iowa to throw all that money at one of the Stoops brothers, maybe even try the one that didn't play there. Should've done it a couple years ago.
But what are the odds that they hire JLS instead?
