Zach Banner question
Zach is currently a 4* OT being recruited by almost everyone in the country. A lot of people dont know that he is also a 3* Center in basketball. Does anyone know if he's also being recruited to play hoops or both? I know here in washington he's being recruited for both.

That's a big dude. But a good question by the OP. Personally, I would think his biggest upside would be OL in football, but that's because 6'9" (holy cow that's a big dude) is somewhat smallish for a center in basketball, IMO. He is like a short Shaq.
Like Glen "Big Baby" Davis.
i love the look on his face..
haircut is winning
Is he a warlock too?
He has prominent parents.
I propose that those who violate the laws of MGoBlog shall be punished by catapult...
Father's name is Bruce?
Since his last name is Banner, would Hoke have more incentive to touch him?
Am I the only one that wonders if this picture is capturing some sort of recruiting violation? What's it called, "bumping"? If it were Thad Matta, I would be sure of it. I just don't know the Huskies' coach well enough to cast that stone.
I must be getting jaded in my old age.
Lorenzo Romar is a class act. One of my favorite coaches. He recruits the right way and is no where close to a slimeball.
FWIW this pic was taken after the state title game. I believe Romar was there to watch and congratulated him on the win.
I know we are tight on BB scholarships, but Football would likely cover it anyway...
Can anyone confirm the NCAA guideline on where a scholarship counts if a player is in more than one major sport?
Even if he weren't available until Big 10 season, I guarantee we could find minutes banging inside.
Banner honoring Zach Novak and our MBB Ballers...
Good feelings about BB for the first time in a very long time... Need us a big thumper like Zach Banner inside.
Or a pair of 7'4" brothers (not butlers like Duke has)
I have not heard anything about Michigan's basketball coaching staff being interested in Zach Banner. I don't know that I've ever seen an offensive lineman play basketball in college. You see quarterbacks (Donovan McNabb) and wide receivers (Tai Streets) and tight ends (Tony Gonzalez) do it, but no offensive linemen to my knowledge. The two sports seem like they would be counterproductive once you get to a certain elite level, because all the running in basketball would burn off weight/muscle for football.
He didn't play both sports in college, but Joe Reitz played bball at Western Mich and now is an OT in the NFL. He might be most famous for this:
