6 feet 2 inches 180 lbs on rivals, I would love to add him to teh class and it would be our last defensive back. With his frame I would play him at safety. Its ahard to see Armani Reeves and Wayne Morgan not joining the class, but I beleive in Hoke and his plan. Go blue

I'd be thrilled to get him or Jarrod Wilson to round out the secondary.  There are also a lot of other stellar recruits coming out of Don Bosco Prep this year.  Hopefully Yuri can talk to his teammates and get a group visit set up.

I live a few towns away from Ramsey NJ where Bosco is, and this is the best class they have had in a while (and thats saying alot). Their Coach Toal gets his players prepared for the next level and it shows, DBP is always in the top 10 in the nation. with all these players they should be consensus #1 this year.  My best fiends little brother is on the team and told me Shumate out of all of them is looking into Michigan the hardest ( I believe Michigan has offered all of them at this point).  Would be great if we got Carroo though that guy can flat out fly.

the Michigan coaches are going after him hard. I think its clear they want a true safety and its no secret they are going after wilson hard.

Yuri is the man. I've gone back in forth all year, between Yuri and Armani Reeves, as to who has better coverage skills. Wright is simply too fluid. Sadly, it seems as though Notre Dame's the leader. FIIIIIIIIILM

I don't think it makes much of a difference in the secondary. Might affect his numbers, but he's the same, 6'2, physical, fluid, dynamic athlete regardless of whether or not Elijah Shumate's got his deep zone, or Darius Hamilton's providing a pass rush. The increased exposure on the recruiting trail probably doesn't hurt, DBP's a major football powerhouse.

I'm fully aware of how much of a powerhouse they are. I recall when I went to WGH with Mannigham, Clarett, Herron, Burgess, etc. how much people talked about DBP being the best on the coastline. I find Shumate to be fluid and skilled as well. I just don't have enough of an eye to know whether Shumate and the others allow for Yuri to receive a little more opportunities. By the way, thanks for all you do for us users. The likes of you, Tom, Magnus(and his son), Tim, and obviously Brian have elevated the level of fandom to a level I'm sure most of us Mgousers weren't aware was possible prior to finding this site.

There is a lot of hope for Kiel and Dunn. Personally, if I could only pick two it'd be Wright and Shittu. I really hope ND doesn't pull Shumate and Wright. About Shumate, I see he ran a 4.52 40, not bad for a safety IMO. I'm not sure if that was hand timed or what, how many FAKE's do you think? I feel that's great speed for a safety, but I could be wrong. The possibilty that both Wright and Shumate could go to ND scare the heck out of me, I hope one comes to the good side.

You're right, that is a pretty good time for a safety. However, watching him on film, he looks to be more 'Anthony Standifer fast' in the sense that he can accelerate and close well, but he lack elite speed. I think he'd be a great box/strong safety type, but I'd be wary of him as a FS

The coaching staff knows what they're doing. After every commitment, they adjust their recruitment plans, often dropping recruits. If we're in his top five, then we're still recruiting him. And, as of now, the coaching staff expects to have room for him.

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad new or anything but if I remember right Tom said something about being very surprised if any of the Don Bosco kids ended up at U of M. I'm not gonna get too crazy excited about Wright yet, I think we have a much better chance at Jerrod Wilson.
