And I love me some James Bond movies :)
landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.
And I love me some James Bond movies :)
This is embarrassing.....it was supposed to be after the movie "Red Dawn" but I was so high I forgot the name and I thought it was "Rescue Dawn". So I have been stuck with it ever since.
Was a pretty good movie starting Christian Bale. It's based on a true story about a POW escaping capture from the Viet Cong.
I actually saw that...its was pretty good.....didn't Bale drop like 100lbs for that movie?
Yeah, Red Dawn was one of my favorite movies growing up.
It sure seems like he lost 100lbs. He was very thin in that movie.
i own a company that engineers and builds athletic fields, both synthetic and natural surfaces...and will be bidding on the new "carpet" for the big house to be installed this summer...
and if i ever make enough money i will by a keyboard with a caplock/shift button on it...
which I felt lucky and proud to have. Of course I received a fair share of mail that was supposed to go to the Victors Club, questions about entry and fees: I should of asked for checks or money orders. Anyways, after graduation, with the future so bright I had to wear shades, and a new millenia upon me, I picked [email protected] as my "civilian" e-mail. The rest of the tale is self evident.
I didn't know Hotmail was still in existence.
Maybe that's why I don't get any mail...:/
If that was my uniquename I woulda paid to keep it!!!
It is a mixture of my last name, "Go Blue", and my birth year.
I'm lame... my name is Joe...
As long as you're not one of the "Good Luck Joes" and sing "April in the D" you're alright in my book!
Inspired by an old Lords Prayer Tshirt
"Lord is my Shepherd but BO is my Coach."
When RICH ROD was taking heat I thought I would
PSALM 23 I FEAR NO EVIL ROD n THY STAFF GIVE ME STRENGTH
What Would Rod Do?

woodson in honor of Charles Woodson, from representing Charles Woodson's interception in the 1998 Rose Bowl, Leaf in memory of a once promising career, 97 in honor of our last National Championship
Chances are, you're faster than the average player at your position.
I felt the need to choose a name that would try to keep me humble. However, it is well-nigh impossible to suppress my expansive knowledge and genius; it leaks out all over the place. So I added a play on words to remind all (as if they needed reminding!) that every post here is yet another accomplishment in a long string of my impressive contributions to the world.
Seriously? I dunno, "BigTits Hates OSU" seemed a little too assertive, so "Feat of Clay" was a good safe second.
so I got the nickname Yak. And I'm batshit insane, so you never know when I may Attack.
Two of my favorite things growing up were Michigan football and the Ninja Turtles. Biakabatuka's first name was shortened to Tim, my name, so I loved him as a player plus that 313 yard game at Ohio State is one of the earlier games I remember being at.
Oh it kind of rhymes too
My name exists because of a gif that someone, somewhere, produced just before the Ohio State-Michigan game in 2007. It featured Donovan Warren picking off Todd Boeckman, and after running it back for a touchdown, Lloyd Carr (with a sparkly gold grill) telling him to "Crank that, Donovan." This was totally fitting for me because:
1) Donovan Warren, like me, was a freshman that year. He started playing significantly in the Notre Dame game, the same game that the godawful 2007 season got turned around. I saw him as sort of a beacon of hope as he accompanied the turnaround
2) From the moment I first stepped on campus in September, to about about mid-November, Soulja Boy was everywhere. On the steps of frat houses, people were "crankin' that." On sidewalks, people were "crankin' that." At mass meetings, people were "crankin' that." It was unreal, and it's embarrassing to say, but that dance partially shaped my early life as a college student
Thus, the name had special significance to me, so I picked it. I haven't been able to find that gif in two years, though. I'm not sure if it still exists on the 'net...
Damn, I wish I'd seen this thread yesterday but oh well... Naturally, the story behind my mGoName started with a penis joke (like most good things). In high school I caught one of my friends drawing a giant penis on the front of one of my three ring binders. He of course said he wasn't drawing a penis but instead was drawing a pontoon boat. My classmates thought it was a masterpiece and the nickname has stuck with me for the past seven years.
and the last few letters of my last name. Simple.
BSE NA&ME in 87
Live in Cary (Concentrated Area of Relocated Yankees), NC
The weather is much nicer down here, but I sure miss football Saturdays (NC State, Duke and UNC games don't compare).
But if not, I'm a HUGE Michigan Hockey fan, season ticket holder and lover of the game. Live From Yost every Friday and Saturday night (when they're playing at home).
919 Brown - Good Times my friend, good times!
Mine is not what you would think. My best friend was named Mike who was a far bigger UofM fan than I am and he died in a car accident the summer before we were to start college. His favorite number was 86 and he wore it our junior and senior years of high school.
The main character's name is Tom Peters, but his maiden name is Tom Pickle.
I thought I would add a little twist with the name. My sig has the link to the episode where I got it. Love the show and was pulling for it when Fox was jerking it around.
I'll leave you with this. My wife hates this and it drives her crazy...I love it. Now you see why I spend a little too much time here.
Is there anyone who doesn't love It's Always Sunny's musical numbers? I didn't think so.
Mallrats is the best movie ever made.
I was going to use "Iambic Pentameter" in tribute to my poetry professor, who used as an example:
the U' ni VER' si TY' of MICH' i GAN'. I still sometimes say that to myself. But Michichick is shorter to type.
Not a huge fan overall, but always appreciated the sinister imagery.
Also some intentional irony because I try to be a concise writer, but one of the definitions for jabberwock is gibberish.
Wow this is a fun thread! I'm disappointed I missed it until now.
As for me -- not that creative really. I'm one of the 20,784 people lucky enough to live in picturesque Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Garvie Craw scored the first Michigan touchdown I ever witnessed.
My name is R__ Tyler ___. I have always been called Tyler.
Way back when I had to create my first usernames for anything, Michigan basketball was still entertaining. The Maceo comes from Maceo Baston. The 24 comes as a carryover of my favorite number. One that became my favorite due to Jimmy King. Ahhh, the good old days of hoops success.
Barwis is the "Dragon", according to him , when you step into the weight room its time to pay him!
Mine is an overlap of my 2 college sports allegiances:
Maize 'n' Blue - grew up as a Michigan fan
Blue Devil - Duke student and fan
(Figure it's kinda obvious but u never kno, som ppl may not get it.)
Several years ago it dawned on me that none of us enjoy life as much as we should. I also used to travel on business a lot. So, as a way to remind myself to "eat, drink, and be merry" because life is short, I wrote ENJOY LIFE on my luggage (it also worked great to ID my luggage and when the airlines lost it (twice) it made it easier for them to find).
I sign every e-mail with Enjoy Life and my name. I type it every time as a constant reminder (instead of just having it as an automatic signature).
Seemed logical to use it as my MGoBlog ID.
It's crazy that we need a reminder to enjoy life sometimes. Especially fitting given all the problems with our programs the last few years.
When I was in 8th grade (1997 or so), there was a story on the news about a house in a suburb of Windsor that had allegedly been entirely taken over by a hacker named "Sommy." He'd turn the lights off and on and interrupt phone conversations and internet access at random. This had been going on for months. After the authorities were informed, it turned out it was the family's son picking up the other receiver and being a jerk.
I always thought the name "Sommy" was kind of cryptic, so I've used that hame online since I was about 14.
Jack Kerouac is my favorite author...and I'm black...and black and jack rhyme...so. Yeah. The chicks dig it. Well, at least the nerdy ones do, and they're usually the best ones anyway.
My name is pretty simple, I am a huge Top Gun fan. When i was a kid, i watched the movie a lot. Tom Skerritt's character reminded me of my father. So out of love of the movie and my father, i use it on blogs and such.
How I got my name. I look for the best free music, movies, streams, and information on the net. I found the best free Michigan information data base in the world at MgoBlog.
Huge Simpsons fan, and Thrillhouse was already taken. I actually tried signing up multiple times over the past 3+ years and it never worked. I got a new computer, signed up again, Great Success!!
I'd been reading posts on here for some time getting all my info here pertaining to M football. Been a fan since 70's and was extremely bothered by the turn of events in2008. After I watched the Western game, the opener last year I was so pumped. Felt we were back for sure. My mind was like, hell yea, we are still Michigan afterall. I felt inclined to post on message board and needed a name. Thats what came out of my brain that day.
There's an episode of the Simpsons where Marge develops a crush on a paper-towel logo lumberjack. Homer and Bart prank call Marge, pretending to be the lumberjack, using the name "Chad Sexington." Rest is pretty obvious.
Barwis to me was simple. I needed to honor a man who owned wolves as pets. Also because he helped to run Boren's fat ass out of town!
