landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.
Pad level is too high.
Obligatory "Not sure what to do with my hands Meh" photo
Mother of urls...
holy shit. I don't see how they don't give this kid an offensive package the second he hits campus.
This kid is ridiculous.
If he ends up rooming with a white player they could be "Salt and Peppers".
I've been excited for many players commited to this program: Shane Morris, Derrick Green (still am excited), Ondre Pipkins, Kyle Kalis, Dymonte Thomas, Dennis Norfleet, George Campbell, Drake Harris, Damien Harris and potentially Malik McDowell and Da'Shawn Hand.
None of them come close to the excitement level I got when Jabril Peppers joined. I've been on the Peppers train since day one, I will buy his jersey number when it is announced as a freshman. This kid is going to be scary good. I drank the kool aid.
Hopefully they give him a legends jersey right off the bat so you don't have to change numbers too after a year or two.
I was going to add that to my original post. Decided against it since the Legends Jersey Post early today blew up.
Honestly, I doubt he wants one. Based on his response to being compared to Woodson, I'd say he wants to carve out his own legacy at Michigan.
I don't believe that happened. It's a fake.
Does not work on ipad. Flash?
Here's the youtube link:
It is really funny watching his teammates after he scores that sick touchdown... They stinkin act like nothing happened!?!!??!! I guess they must be used to this madness. Otherwise they would be jumping up and down screaming for joy.
Oh I cannot wait till he is maize and blue.
"Get him a uniform"
Can we get a link?
Mother of god!
Jesus. The kid basically a 5 star RB on top of being a 5 star CB and safety. His versatility is ridiculous.
All the more reason to give him #2 when he hits campus.
BUT THEN HOW WILL HE CREATE HIS OWN LEGEND WITH HIS OWN NUMBER!?!?!1111?!
Some will hate me...but i remember when we use to tackle like that when RR was here..im so thankful for Brady Hoke
I agree. Looks like they went to the GERG school of tackling.
All positions please?? Peppers passes to peppers who gets a block from peppers for the score!!!!
I've said it before, and I hopefully will say it many more times: Jabrill Peppers is the Being John Malkovich of football.
Dude is a freak athlete. Can't wait to see him playing both ways rockin' that winged helmet.
It is thoroughly mind boggling that a player like this is coming to Michigan and loves UM as much as we do.
I, for so long, have seen plenty of players like him around the country and now we have a freak athlete too.
Bully to the coaching staff for their recruiting.
I think you mean mind bottling.
That's pretty bad ass but it also featured some pretty bad tackling.
this is why we need cloning.
I'm thinking he hit RT for a speed burst, a couple LT juke moves, a truck stick, like three straight O spin moves, another truck stick, another speed burst....
Was able to slip out of work to catch the scrimmage for an hour. Was able to see this run in person and it was pretty rediculous. Peppers just has that look of an elite athlete on the field, and definately stood out from the rest. He was split out wide on a lot of the formations and was almost like a decoy as they thew a lot of short passes and screens to other players. He also had a nice TD reception where he blew past everyone from the outside reciever position. Defensively, he looked good in coverage, and on run plays he seemed to diagnose plays quickly and fly to the ball. Can't wait to see him play at the Big House.
the jersey supposed to be orange?
Can he just skip his last year of high school and show up at the big house on the 31st. I have a feeling we may see more spread packages with him in the gun.
It seems like he could play for Michigan this year - like LeBron could play in the NBA after this junior year of high school - could play this year. Just an unbelievable athlete. And he fits the Pattern? Even better.
...see what happens when we get an angle where we can actually see whats going on?
Does he get number 2 the second he steps on campus or do you want him to have his own number to create his own legacy?
It doesn't matter what we want. It matters what he wants.
Let him turn #5 into a legends jersey for others to wear in the future.
Jabrill peppers, but they didn't even look like they were trying to tackle him. Uber-recruit or not, that's just pathetic.
Not sure how else to put this, even with the exhibition of Big 12 Tackling Methods....
but I think it might have been in Tecmo Super Bowl.
I hope he touches the ball on offense once in a while next season
Get this man the football next year. Obviously, poor high school tackling but I think his team is supposed to compete for a NC so be isn't playing scrubs. Special, special talent.
Kick the PATs too
I may be prone to superlatives, but that man is both the best recruit of 2014 and the best recruit Michigan has ever landed.
and you may be right about your latter statement. I can say that I've never seen such a versatile athlete like JP come in here. He can literally excel at 5 positions minimum (RB,CB,S,WR,KR) and probably a few more. Obviously though, the proof will be how he does on the field. In this video and most of his high school highlights, he's a man among boys. So, this video doesn't impress me that much. Nonetheless, I have not been as excited about a prospect coming in here in many years as I am with JP.
he understands the basic rules, objectives, and has played this game before.
not saying he's not amazing but tackling was horrible. I love his spin moves though.
Runs like that do not.
Please don't try to downplay this with negative comments... Just drop your jaw like every one else
his school, which when I played --and baseball only-- we kicked their ass. Paramus Catholic was a private school of limited repute. The best Catholic school in the area was Don Bosco Prep. and you might have heard of it. And they were good in everhthing. PC not so much.
The other thing is, I went to camp and met kids from Red Bank. Red Bank has no history as a sports competitive area in NJ, period. They sucked in everything because their parents mostly worked in New York. But our town had been around since the 1700s.
As it was, most of the parents in my town, worked in NYC also. But they were like stock brokers and engineers and such. Just the way it is when you live 20 mintues from the GW Bridge. But we were good in certain sports like baseball, Red Bank not so much.
So, I've been gone for a long time. And Paramus better known for Paramus Mall where the Sopranos scenes were sometimes shot, and my school's current big Thanksgiving Day rival --we used to play football on Saturday afternoons and finished on Thanksgiving Day against Fair Lawn High School, which had a great stadium (think Horeseshoe, except erector set stands that seemed awesome in high school and accommodate bigger crowds).
When I went to school there, we never played PC in football because they were a smaller school and couldn't compete. But now they can. Because private the next big thing. schools can recruit and public schools can't. And so Jabrill Peppers is the man.
And if you grew up when and where I did, then you know that college football wasn't what it is in the Midwest. But I still loved it, and I still knew all the stars, and I still loved Bo Schembechler and how his team beat that invincible team in 1969 that many thought could compete against the NFL. And so I had a natural rooting interest for Michigan.
Because our rival, Fair Lawn High, had this kid that Ohio State recruited and starred for them and played against Michigan in 1969. So he was a compelling reason to watch. And because four years earlier when Bruce Jankowski was a senior at Fair Lawn High and our team a heavy underdog, my school, Ridgewood High School, despite being a heavy underdog, beat his team on Thanksgiving Day. And it was like Michigan vs. Ohio only Jersey style.
Cool story bro
I guess that is...something.
Just start sending this video as a letter to future recruits. No words, just the video.
Fournette is pretty damn good but can he play cornerback and safety? How Peppers isn't the number 1 player in the nation astounds me.
or Jabrill Peppers. There's no other reason for him to neg the OP.
...and the WORST tackling ever recorded in the history of scrimmage football.
And he wasn't recruited as an offensive player?
Who is 'Charlie Chunk" and WHY would he downvote this?!?!? Off to Bolivia with that clown!!! Peppers is the next Charles Woodson!!!
I upvoted to offset the lone downvote. Order restored.......for now.
The kid has unlimited turbos. Has to be a sanction violation?
