I'm...more than a little surprised.
this week in unintentionally grim-sounding recruiting headlines
I'm...more than a little surprised.
Carson Butler is full of surprises.
Made me laugh out loud.
For example, little known fact: Carson Butler cries to anything written in C-minor.
Oh - and he might punch you in the fucking head for no real reason, 'cause fuck you, lawya.
Good for him. Need more players to defend RR.
This is what I read:
"Words words words words (I AM NOT A NARC) words words..."
Still he stuck up for his school, despite what happened to him there; that's pretty hip in my book.
No doubt about it.
My respect for him grew a little bit.
I dont doubt a majority of us threw him under the bus numerous times and when this came out I can almost gurantee most of us assumed he was one of the "whistleblowers".
If he is being truthful that is nice to see from a guy who had a very obvious axe to grind!
i suspected more of the players who transferred but were still in college... and we all know who they are...
The NFL guys are done and have moved on and are not as bitter or biased
Carson Butler, all is forgiven. You are a true Michigan Man.
Now you may continue to beat someone's face in (preferably Rosenberg's)
Get that man an iron!
I guess Carson and Rod ironed out their differences.
What the F. That is probably the most shocking development out of this whole thing.
MANBEARFREAK MAD. NOT AT RODRIGUEZ. MAD AT FREEP. WISH HAD IRON TO THROW AT FREEP NERD. MANBEARFREAK SURPRISED AT YOUR SURPRISE.
5-10 current/former players spoke out against RR and his system (mostly anonymously)
5-10 current/former players have now spoken out denying the allegations and voicing their support for RR, and they did not hide behind their words
Unfortunately, the math is not that simple, as it will take ten times the number of players standing up for RR for it to get noticed in the national media.
IMO, all the players in support of RR should be given just as much pull as the few anonymous ones that are against him. What is the argument that they should not? That Obi, Mooseman, Ortmann, Butler, etc don't know the rules and are therefore not in a position to deny the claims? Wow that sounds a lot like the players who made up the claims to begin with.
5/10, not 5-10 players that Douche and Douchier interviewed alleged violations. This is one of their many shady games w/ numbers in the article.
In other words, they interviewed 10 players, and only 5 of the players they interviewed alleged violations, with a 6th alleging only some of the violations.
So, why oh why, would they even mention that they interviewed 10 players, when only 5 (and maybe a 6th) alleged malfeascence? Because many ppl in the general public aren't going to read the article carefully, and see the biggest number (10) and think 10 players alleged violations.
Their article leaves things deilberately vague allowing people to assume the worst, and then has a very harsh tone and tenor towards RR, allowing people to solidify those assumptions.
They're actually not very bad propaganda artists, I'm surprised they weren't hired by the... never mind, won't go there. =)
In all seriousness this is exactly what I wanted to see/read.
Two questions, though:
1) Is it a coincidence that all of the former players NOT speaking anonymously are currently in the NFL and assert that they put in extra work to become better (Henne, Trent, Butler...)?
2) Does anyone know if Rick Leach has come back from the stratosphere to make a comment?
I would love to see a Carson Butler vs. Michael Rosenberg death match. Seriously, I would pay hundreds.
Considering the fact that a Jason Gingell vs. Michael Rosenberg death match would get real ugly real fast, Manbearfreak vs. Rosey might be only about 8 seconds of entertainment.
But it would be totally awesome.
but I refuse to ever visit the Freep again. Can someone please tell me what Terrance Taylor said, or give me a non Freep link?
If Boren comes out in support than heads up, because the world is probably ending.
lol...wow....and what Butler said is actually pretty concise and to the point...
he should talk with his former HS coach too...
more of this is coming out and Rosendouche is starting to look worse
is speaking in a PROFESSIONAL manner because he wants to be a PROFESSIONAL football player.
Because Carson Butler is a bully/thug does not preclude him from being intelligent and thoughtful. I do not believe Carson was putting on airs for anyone, most likely just Carson being Carson. I have seen posters on this blog, who I sense are very intelligent, rave like lunatics over things I would consider trivial.
I will cheer for Carson when he faces off against DeWayne White.
I would love to hear what he has to say. Perhaps he will threaten to feed Rosenberg to his pet...
Yes I am a fan of his F-lion. But for all we know he's one of Rosie's sources.
the F-lion reportedly was kept involuntarily at Barwis' home for weekends.
Jim Harbaugh was one of the unnamed former players.
This is interesting, since no one can argue that Butler has a vested interest in the current program or its staff.
