WSJ, quotes J Long, D Jones regarding head injuries
Interesting article from the WSJ regarding retiring the football helmet. Quotes from U of M players Jake Long and Dhani Jones. It seems more than coincidence the only 2 players quoted went to U of M. WSJ covers football from a different angle and often has readable football content.
"Almost every single play, you're going to get hit in the head," says Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Jake Long
Dhani Jones, a linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals who has played rugby, too, says head injuries in that sport do happen, but they're mostly freak accidents. "In football, you're taught to hit with your face," he says. "You're always contacting with your 'hat,' which is your head."

Woodley has an article on talking about concussions as well. It's a pretty good read AND he gives many positive shout outs to Michigan.

There was no mention in that earlier thread about the quotes from Long and Dhani. Now I will take the time and read the article.
