Here's a pick me up for those who need it:

Sam Grant is visiting, per TomVH

Lots of rumblings at Rivals about the liklihood of Josh Garnett committing.

Full disclosure - it is coming from some guy who had correctly predicted a handful of other commits based on his "source".  One of the mods then backed him up as saying something to the effect of "we're hearing some positive things too, more to come in the ITF tomorrow".

[Edit - Also to the guy who said I add nothing to this site, two middle fingers to you, buddy]

I know I'm #1.

Congrats on "adding something," I have no problem with those kinds of posts, really its cool.

Its just that your a dick to everyone.  Take (Score: -1 Flaimbait) as a hint that people don't like the way you talk to them, then maybe your comments will actually be, um, read.

After watching him play this past weekend it is understandable why the coaches may have cooled on him as a CB. We are looking for a true cover CB and not a project there, he just looked like he was out of place on many of the plays. Unfortunate as it may be I wish him the best where ever he ends up.

This is a bit strange.  If he is a project, let's get him in and there can a discussion with him on his future position.  Give it a chance, and wait and see.  Bosco puts out some prospects, and we are recruiting guys for next year.  This has to hurt that.

Without intimate details of what goes on behind the scenes, the recruitment of Yuri Wright seem to be the most perplexing to me.  Here's a guy who claims to be a lifelong Wolverine fan, hasn't committed to anyone, is highly rated, has an offer for a position of constant need, and yet...........nothin.  I don't get it.

that Notre Dame is rolling out for its 2012 game with USC.  According to an adidas press release; "Lighter, and bearing the famed three-stripes logo, these eyebrows will reduce glare and promote weight-reduction by eliminating the need for heavy eyeblack patches bearing biblical verses which Notre Dame never cared too much about unless they were written in Latin.  'Authentic' versions of the tribute eyebrows can be purchased by fans through authorized adidas retailers."

I don't know that I would say there are not many options left perhaps not as big name of ones as we would hope, but if the past years have taught us anything depth is never a bad thing.

I expect a couple of names to pop up here shortly that will be new to the recruiting scene for this years class.

Very true, I am sure a name unknown to us will pop up and remember the **** system is any thing but perfect for predicting a recruit's success at the next level. The optimist in me says it is because they want to use that offer on Demar Dorsey, but he is a safety so that doesn't work.

I hope TomVH and Chris Balas revoke your subscriptions for posting this stuff! IT'S SECRET!

Then again, maybe they need to learn a little bit about the efficient market hypothesis before they go on asking subscribers to keep information secret.

the efficient market hypothesis is a load of crap, but whatever.

The point is it's not absurd for news entities (even ones whose "news" is where 18 year old kids are going to play football) to expect at least a short window where they're allowed to reap the benefits of their work.

Given that no user in a forum is in competition with the pay sites or profits in any way from sharing the information it's quite a reach. If Brian encouraged people to post premium content it might be different, but even then any claim would be constrained by fair use. So yeah, I think it's ridiculoous.
