Worst Stadium your ever attended?
That Big Auditorium at Angell Hall where I took English 101 my freshman year.
No way... It's gotta be the Nat Sci Auditorium prior to renovations... Talk about a lack of leg room.
Hallelujah
I had to take a final in there and you could hear a veritable brouhaha going on underneath our seats in the room below. It was a long time ago, so I'm not sure if they gave us extra time after someone got the noise spout turned off.
I was there for a US soccer match years ago. it felt like a run down bunker.
The only stadium I've been to In Columbus was the Crew stadium (also to see the USMNT) which was great (US 2, Mexico 0) because of the game and that I'd worked on the design during a summer break while in grad school in LA.
Enjoyed the game at Vandy
Bought end zone seats- but sat on 50 with chair back seats
Very wealthy alumni crowd

Welsh-Ryan Arena is worse at Northwestern compared to the football field...although we are just comparing two turds at this point.
Despite the outcome that game is perhaps the most exciting one I've ever attended.
No bathrooms
No concessions
Cheap aluminum bleachers
Blow up tunnel
Very much worst in the big ten I have
seen
The old Cleveland Muni stadium and it's not even close.
Old, smelly, shitty sight-lines and everybody in the place seemed to be drunk and want to fight.
On second thought I think I just described myself.
I have sentimental memories of Muni, but that's only because it was my first baseball game with my Dad, things like that.
There was nothing like getting stuck in a seat behind one of the metal beams.
Or having my Dad take me to the urinal troughs just praying that some guy wouldn't be taking a shit in one of them while I have to stand at eyeline with the dicks of a bunch of drunks
It was last year that Mental Floss - of all things - celebrated the 40th anniversary of Ten Cent Beer Night, which of course was the ultimately ill-conceived promotion ran by the Indians at the old Municipal Stadium, which resulted in damage to the field and nine arrests. Maybe such things help cement reputations, but the two times I was there in my life were both milder versions of Ten Cent Beer Night in the sections I was in.
season ticket holder who described his tickets as "great seats" in all seriousness.
First row, upper deck view from behind the endzone that was a good distance away. Better than the alternatives, but "great"? I was bemused.
FedEx Field. Fuck that place and fuck Dan Snyder.
This was before they renovated it. The visitor's seats were nothing more than tall high school bleachers, and rickety ones at that. If you dropped anything, it was gone. What a dump.

A buddy and I went a few years ago and came away with the same opinon. It's like W. Layfayette high school donated their old bleachers for their visitor section. When I told the guys at our tailgate they laughed since my experience in 2010 was similar to theirs... in the 1980's.
Spartan Stadium. It was when they sucked in 2012 and the stadium was maybe half full. It felt like a high school game, and the stadium itself is just boring as hell.
+1. After going there for the 2007 game, I agree.

That upper deck has an ok veiw but the ramp getting up and down from there is just stupid. It's easily the worst walk as a sports fan I've made. The rest of the stadium is old and the non-crazy fans will openly admit it. I sat in the north endzone last year and it's messes with your mind that the rest of the stadium and that section are actually part of the same place.
The answer is always Oakland Colisseum. Even if you haven't been there you know it's a shithole.
Absolutely. It's not even close really. The Colisseum is an absolute dump. A close 2nd is Candlestick Park, but since they just tore that place down I'll give it a slight pass.
You are both wrong.
Also, please keep the Warriors in the East Bay.
(Note: I do realize that this is a quixotic battle and a hopeless plea)
And you spelled "Coliseum" wrong, but that is besides the point. More importantly: you are wrong, the Coliseum is awesome, and if you don't relent I challenge you to a duel.
I'll just leave these here to make my point more gloriously than I ever could.

And I will counter with this screen shot from stubhub
Holla, quigley.blue!
I grew up going to games here. I absolutely love it. Even after they built Mt. Davis. The bleachers were never the same after that, but the 200 level seats behind home plate were always available and under 20 dollars, and some of the best seats view-wise in any park.
The old Shea Stadium. It sucked.
Not really much else to add.
I went there near the end. Felt older than it was, without any of the charm you hope for from an old stadium.
Went for a Nationals game when I lived near DC. Was not impressed.
I'm scheduled to see a game at Chase Field in 1.5 weeks. The original post concerns me, ha ha.
Chase Field isnt that bad at all, been to several games there since ive been living in PHX the past 14 years
I was thinking the same thing. I went there for a game this spring and thought it was really nice.

I swear we had this thread last week?
I made an impassioned case for Candlestick, with numerous incidents both personal and historical. Nothing has changed in the past week.
So while I'll grant that the Kingdome, Trop, Astrodome - Hell ALL domes - deserve a shout out for their blandness (when their resident team isn't winning), none can compare to the physical misery that getting into, sitting in, and getting out of Candlestick caused one to endure.
We can retire this topic now
Candlestick was awful yes, but I still maintain that the Oakland Colisseum is worse. But to be honest, it's like debating which Buckeye is smarter. At somepoint you just have to agree they're both idiots and move on.
I was thinking two weeks ago, but could've been last week.

Ned Skeldon stadium (circa '95ish), Toledo/Maumee Ohio, what a dump.
Easy to get to, free parking, cheap beer and dogs, and old-school ads on the outfield wall. Fifth Third is typical cookie-cutter modern with no personality.
The only other college stadium in which I have been is Bowling Green State University's. I only went there for a game once because I was visiting the school during my senior year of high school. I was looking to go there, but decided otherwise. The stadium is OK from what I remember.
