I'll be at the USA vs Germany game in Recife. Look for a M flag during corner kicks. Hail! I've also brainwashed about fifty of my Brasilian friends to join me outside the stadium all supporting old glory. M'erica. Here is to a good showing in Brasil.

What's the scene like a buffalo wild wings during these games? Do the soccer hooligans take the place over?

Yes.  He's referring to Buffalo Wild Wings, which is a casual sports bar and restaurant specializing in chicken wings.  There are 652 locations across the U.S., including one in Ann Arbor, which is probably the source of his familiarilty with the chain.

I've got a TST-7 for Ghana. Sadly gonna hafta miss the first match against the US in Natal. But will be there for the other 6 matches and maybe one or two more if I can swing it.

Can't wait!

This is going to be a rough cup for the Americans.  Huge holes in the back + lack of offfensive firepower = early exit.

While we dont have a premier striker (we NEVER have) we have a pretty decent midfield esp if Bradley Donovan and Dempsey are on form.  So I think we can score.  Defense?  It might be in the worse shape in 20+ years i.e. pre Lalas/Balbao.  I don't see a top end player in the entire bunch and the central defenders just scare me.

The same English paper that called our last group EASY (England, Algeria, Slovenia, Yanks) projected that we would not win a game, much less score a goal in this group.  So, I predict we win all three games, get to the semis and cover ourselves in glory.

The weather forecast looks pretty good for this weekend. Should be a good time to get outside and not watch boring TV.
