is his knee.

These guys are two of the many reasons I think RR will get a 2011 season barring a complete meltdown this year: if they stay healthy, they are going to be absolute beasts in their senior year.

Sounds like somebody's been hanging around Freddie Jax, huh?  Any use of a superlative plus "ever" to describe a player makes it the most sincere and convincing quote ever.

Those numbers are so big it doesn't even register in my brain what lifting that much could possibly be like. Can't wait to see MM tossing linemen aside and mauling QBs.

Did anyone here ever actually try to max out bench pressing?  I busted my ass for almost 6 months and maxed at 265.  These guys are nearly doubling that amount of weight...a little hard to wrap my head around just how powerful these guys must be.  PLEASE STAY HEALTHY GENTLEMEN.

Yes. Cosign. That shit is pretty badass, their numbers. I maxed at 220 in high schoo weighing 170, which isn't all that great. The highest guy on our football team during my 4 years in h.s. did 390.

But, really, although bench press is probably the best single upper-body lift, I'd say for football, the squat numbers are more important. And more impressive. Ridiculously impressive, actually.

Im 6'4" and about 225-230 lbs.  I maintain my fitness pretty well considering I work over 60hrs/week.  I am also pretty strong, but while I lift weights regularly, I have never really tried to max out on anything.  This week a tried a couple things for the first time:

1.  bench press max out.  I got up 305 lbs.  I couldn't believe it, I was pumped!

2.  how many reps of 225lbs can I do.  I got up 17, which is about as good as the NFL rookie WR.

I can't even imagine putting up the numbers those guys do.  It is really quite amazing.  I wonder how they stack up against other schools.

3 reps. I weighed 190-195 at the time. Was lifting just to maintain weight during the lacrosse season.

The rule i remember was if you can rep your weight you're doing pretty well. What these guys are doing is just unreal

For those of you who haven't seen someone squat upwards of 700lbs it is a pretty awesome sight.  Not only is the dude squating that much weight, but the bar actually bends quite a bit with so many plates on it and you would swear it is going to bust.

There was a guy I played with in college that could squat that much and it was unbelievable to witness.

Sure, we had to max out in high school a couple times a year during our quarterly numbers.  Senior year, weighing 225, I had a max of 325.  That has dropped significantly with my age.  I'd venture a guess of around 280.  I still work out with a buddy of mine who was a DL for Miami (OH).  I squat, but with my bad back, a max out would probably cripple me.
