Woodson having a really nice game

Submitted by Crime Reporter on
Charles Woodson has two forced fumbles and an interception today against Dallas. He now has 41 career INT's, according to the announcers. Wish we could get him and a few other former M defenders to suit up on Saturday. I think he has some eligiblity left.

He looks real good out there. That sack and forced fumble were nice, getting in unblocked. But that pick was vintage Woodson. Making a play he shouldn't have. Great, great pick. Brought back memories.

I was watching the game but then I had to leave, so I didn't get a chance to see whether Dallas's challenge held up. When Woodson caused the fumble, celebrated prematurely, and Felix Jones recovered it for a split second, did Dallas retain possession or did they give it to Green Bay?

Call on the field was a recovery by Green Bay after Felix Jones had it then lost it. Change of possession on a fumble isn't reviewable unless it's in the end zone, so it was left Green Bay ball at the 3. I could see where Woodson would have thought the play was over, since Jones initially looked like he was down.

Thanks, Wide Open. That must be why Jeff Tripplett said "Dallas is challenging the ruling on the field that it was a fumble." When Wade Phillips threw the flag, he must have wanted to challenge the recovery but when he couldn't, he just said "Oh...shit. I just wasted a timeout." Thanks for filling me in.
