Cheers to Mrs. Woodson and moms everywhere.  I don't see that as leveling a guilt trip at all, but more a mother putting a young man on the path to doing what is right even though he might not see it at the time.  I hope that, if it ever comes to it, my wife does the same for our kids.

That illustrates why it's important to have good connections with the players families, coaches who know who to call to straighten problems out, and proud coaches/players who know how to let things go.

Carr has talked about it, also.  I don't recall the show, but it was something like one of the ESPN (or BTN) 30 minute shows on the 97 team.  He didn't say much about the argument, or what caused it, but said GOAT told him he wasn't going to practice that day because he didn't feel like it.  So Carr told him he'd sit during the game - no practice, no play.  Woodson was like 'okay, we'll see about that...'.  Carr laughed to the interviewer while saying there's no way he could lose that argument - he'd lose the whole team.  So he called the Mods...

And the rest is history...

It reminds me of a father son moment where you get mad and stomp away and your stubborn pride won't let you apologize even if you're wrong and you contemplate running away but you never do

Wow. If this happened today with say Jabrill, imagine what would happen?

We'd have some vague report or friend of a friend who's cousin is on the team say something. Then there would be a paid board poster add a few random, vague details then panic on MGo then tweeting at the player from fans and rivals. Would be a shit show.

Luckily for us Scott Bakula lept back just in time to mend fences and keep Charles in AA!

I believe the opening scene quote was "Oh boy" or something of the like.

He talks about this in the BTN Spotlight...Carr has a part in it too, but it's just not as detailed and no mention of Miami.

Regardless, thank you Mama Woodson!
