Woodson congratulates Peppers

Also an interesting factoid.

Peppers became the first defensive player at Michigan to score a rushing TD since........Charles Woodson in 1997 against Minnesota.

Woodson is the best ever in so many ways.  His support of Michigan is immense.   That is great of him to give priase to a young player who deserves it.  Someone that plays with the same heart and passsion.

Given your handle, I get where you're going with this, but just thought I'd see what we can find - statistically speaking:

We'll throw out Woodson's last three seasons with Oakland since he's primarily a safety now and plus it gives us an even 15 years vs. 15 years as far as their careers to compare.  Regular season career totals:

Ty Law - 88 passes defended, 53 Ints, 7 TDs

Woodson - 135 passes defended, 55 Ints, 11 TDs

That's about all I have to work with as far as coverage is concerned.  CW has added another 18 passes defended and 10 Ints over the last 3 years, while Ty was retired on a beach living the good life.

Also, more than doubled Law's career tackles and had 4 times as many QB sacks.  Not "coverage" numbers, but just pointing out Ty trails across the board in every defensive statistic.

So there ya go.  Good luck with that.

next practice they will teach him to wait for his blockers.   Just as I have learned to wait for engineers, doctors, DMV, IRS, etc.......  Grant it I dont have to run back a punt and than hurry to run the WildWOLVERINE.  Give him alil slack!!!

Watch the tape...it's true.

He was literally running at top speed and by the time he gets to the punter he's not broken down enough to give a shake and go around him. He just tried to plant and run past/through him and that's probably all he could've done.

A lot of people made a big deal out of it, but it wasn't that bad if you actually watch and see it all develop.

His best bet was probably to try and spin off the punter towards the the sideline and hope no one caught him from behind in the process.
