It's just kind of a lame tradition. It's not entertaining usually and they aren't playing for anything. They aren't making money off of the game and they don't get anything if they win.

going through the motions, screwing around, etc. they need to find some sort of tie-in like the removal of the super bowl coin toss and instead base it on who wins the game. SOMETHING.

I remember watching Baker and English in the '79 pro bowl. Sanders played in a few times in the 90s.
Woodley was a good DE. BG will be another future pro bowl player.

Since we're talking about the lameness of the ProBowl, they need to just scrap the entire standard football game. No one plays hard because they don't want to be hurt in what is basically an exhibition game. I vote they make the Pro Bowl into flag football and play it with no pads. If we're going no contact, lets go all the way and see what kind of amazing things these guys can do without pads weighing them down. Basically do something like make the game a verticle passing fest or something at least unique instead of a lame knock off.

They used to have a flag football game on the beach. An RB whose name I can't recall blew his knee up playing.

had an amazing first year and blew it out during the Rookie Pro Bowl
Edwards's story has been well documented and received more national exposure as his exploits increased. The former first-round draft choice of the New England Patriots suffered a serious knee injury in 1999 and came within minutes of having a leg amputated. Doctors advised him he wouldn't walk without the use of a cane, let alone play football again.to go from possibly losing his leg to playing in the Canadian Football League is epic.

he was a fantastic running back at Georgia, one of many they've had over the years (yes, I'm a georgia boy who went up north for college). According to wikipedia, he came back to play a season with the 'phins and played several more seasons in the CFL. Good for him.

Speaking of Woodley, i just read an interesting and very impressive stat on him. There are 3 active players tied for the most sacks in the playoffs. Vrabel with 8 sacks in 17 games. Freeney with 8 sacks in 14 games. and Woodley with 8 sacks....but he did it in only 4 games. I know its alittle OT but it didnt warrent its own thread, and the mention of Woodley reminded me of it.
