I thought it was called the dong forest....agreed that it was weird!

Slightly OT but what is the point of the dong forest?
I've never understood what it's intended to accomplish.

For a while, I had no idea what you guys were referring to when you said "dong forest. " Then, I ran through it at the Women's Football Academy, and SO understood why you called it that. It's really for concentration and focus. As you run through it, it's hard to stay focused on the ball coming at you. You're supposed to catch the ball once you emerge from the forest.
Is participation based solely upon making a contribution to the cancer fund, and if so, does anyone know how much? I'd love to have my wife attend.
Very cool, btw.
It's an absolute great price. . Minimum is $75 and they push you to raise lots more with prizes for the people that do.
The best way to do the academy is to go with a group of friends. My wife wants to do it again next year with a group.

I think it's around $125 registration, then they expect the participant to raise like another $200. You can get on their mailing list for next year.

Edit: ok, found it. It's a defacto $175 last year with $100 registration and minimum $100 fund raising, but they take the $25 tax deduction and apply it to the raising.

"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk
This is correct, except for the price raising part. They actually lowered this years donation but they also almost doubled the amount of women participating.

At first I thought it was $500 to attend, but then I remembered it was less than that and you have fundraising goals to set. I set mine at $500 - which seems to be the only number that sticks in my head. I think it was around $100-125. I met almost all the players, all the coaches and had a great time. I really am enjoying this season more than before (and I really enjoyed it before). Now when I am watching the games I'm thinking stuff like, "Wow, he did great, I can't believe I ate lunch with him!" I am always impressing my extended family with, "Oh yeah, I met ___ and he was cool. He was my running back/linebacker/D-line coach".
I will do it again next year, no doubt.
I thought this already happened this year... is there more than 1 per year?
Either way good stuff, looks like everyone had fun for a good cause.

You're right. This event was in June.
They really made those old ladies run through the "Tunnel of Peen?" That's a shame... and a horrible visual. No offense to you personally, Neil.
or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
