I was wondering about that. Every year we get a post about wolverines returning to Michigan and the posts always say "first time in 200 years". And I always think: So what about the wolverine they spotted last year?
Turns out it was the same wolverine.
Someone needs to make a movie: Wolverine Day.

It's been 200 years already? Man, time flies. Seems like it was only about 11 or 12 years ago since they spotted a Wolverine in Michigan.

It should have said first Wolverine spotted in Michigan in 12 years.

the headlines suggest an event, disputed with actual facts, if off by roughly 190 years. That is a rather long time, me thinks.

turns out that the wolverine in the article was actually found dead in 2010 according to wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine

Welcome back to Michigan, Wolverine!

He might even be the first wolverine to chase all the Nittany Lions out of Michigan.

If you do a google search you will find that the wolverine died some years later.. which was still almost 6 years ago.

My favortie line:
How the scrappy animal returned and even whether it ever really left are mysteries in the state, where the best-known Wolverines are athletes at the University of Michigan.

Yeah, it would be a shameful event.
They run that new fangled Spread offense. Everyone knows that will never work against a Big Ten team.

Let's put one in a cage and let it loose during halftime at midfield.
