The wolverine in the picture is definitely wondering if it's worth it to kill the entire group of people.

"I mean, I COULD eat. But 5 humans...? I just had a whole moose yesterday, and I'm supposed to be dieting. But it IS my cheat day, and I sure am craving 5 humans. They do look tasty. You know what, no. I'm going to be good today. Good for me. Good for me."

It's Paul.  Nice guy, but a bit of a loner.  You should see him take down a moose.  It's a sight to behold considering his slight build.  He scales the that moose like Royal Robbins up the side of EL Capitan and then slice that jugular vein like a hot knife through taffy.

from the "Wolverine State".  I was going to ask, was it the fur they saw, or was it a real live Wolverine? I guess they are making a comeback to what means remains to be seen. I suppose as long as the Wolverine will eat what trappers have trapped they will stay on the brink of extinction everywhere. Or go by the way they have in the "Wolverine State", when you see one you have to bring pics or it didn't happen.

They have a couple wolverines at the Minnesota Zoo. Even on the hottest days when the other animals are all laying in the shade or have gone indoors, I can always count on the wolverines to be pacing in their area. Back and forth, back and forth, watching...waiting...soon.

I'll avoid the disucssion on the overall good or bad of zoos, but the Minnesota Zoo tries to do a good job of providing large nature like areas for their animals. That said, it's certainly not the 250 - 380 acres a wolverine would be used to.

i have not fished that particular river, been north and south of it, but there are lots of wolverines (relatively speaking) in alaska.   not even a griz will mess with them.

I've been there a few times and they're always sleeping.  One of them was sleeping on its back with its legs splayed, only its lower half visible, as if to say "Hey Columbus, here's my junk."
