"He makes it really easy on you as a coach because he has tremendous football instincts," Michigan tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh said. "Things come really naturally to him. He doesn't have to see things too many times. He has a good sense for how things should look and feel, and he's a tough, physical guy."
Wojo's new column
exactly.. in 1 or even 2 years when tate and denard are seniors and devin is a junior it is gonna get really scary at how good we will be on Offense..
No kidding, especially considering the fact that as of today, Michigan has one of the top 5 statistical offenses in the FBS.
"It's just a tough deal because you usually only play one at a time."
Does that mean there may be times when two will be in on the same play???
Yes, I know I am taking one word and running with it. But think of the possibilities!
I'd be willing to bet a healthy sum of money that RR has a few plays drawn up with two QBs on the field at the same time. Makes me drool thinking of the possibilities.
Just imagine the possibilities if RR figures out how to get two footballs on the field at the same time!
More frightening than Halloweekends
Double hail-marys, all the way across the sky!
We both felt RR has to have been keeping something up his sleeve for Sparty. The offense hasn't had to show many wrinkles due to the sheer dominance of Denard, but I would be SHOCKED if there aren't a few plays that involve more than 1 of the QB's. My favorite would be Denard and Gardner in the backfield, maybe trying to get Gardner isolated on a LB on a wheel route or a jumpball play near the goalline similar to the one that tOSU ran for Pryor a couple of times when Boeckmann was there.
Hopefully its OSU that finds this out much to their dismay as Tate fires a 30 yd pass to Denard as he blows past the Buckeye DB's.
Maybe Coach Rod has a few tricks up his sleeve for the Big Ten season? How can you not figure out a way to get two QBs on the field at the same time? Like coach has said, they're too talented to not play them.
By the way, all 3 of our QBs would more than likely be starters on any team. They're that good. Let's hope someone doesn't decide to transfer. This is really going to be tough on Coach Rod the next couple years.
but can you picture the defense's reaction if Tate took the snap and Denard was in motion? The entire defense would immediately be sucked into wherever DR was going, and if Tate pump-faked a throw to DR, I'm pretty sure Tate would have some other guys wide open.
messed up versions of the transcontinental taking place with the three of those guys on the roster. Cause Denard is dilithium, but it ain't like Tate and Devin are slow. Oh no, those guys have some speed.
...he gets some talent in and suddenly he's a great coach again...
Wojo repeatedly proves that a writer can enjoy the team he is writing about without being a sycophant. He is talented, funny, and is by far the most objective writer in the market. Unfortunately, or maybe not, because Wojo is so good at deflecting attention away from himself, and never, even in mock-heroic satire pieces, makes the writer more important than the story, he probably won't get the recognition he deserves.
I am guessing, though, that he doesn't really need all of the attention other writers do, and is happy with that.
