WMU @ ND in 2010
I am sure it will be a topic of discussion tomorrow when it is officially announced but here is the heads up.

If your interested the team who backed out was TCU, I was really looking forward to that game....

be a tasty MAC snacky-cake for Charlie. Would hate to see him choke on his cupcake.

If it will be a topic of discussion tomorrow is it OK to comment now?

Is it safe to assume Charlie will be there next year?
Go Broncos

I wouldn't assume anything for another 6 weeks

last time he almost beat USC, he received a new contract with a fat raise. They can't get rid of him after losing closely again?

3 Big Ten schools
1 MAC
1 Big East
the next step is to drop Stanford for Northwestern.

Nice use of asymptotically. I still hold out hope that they join the Big Ten, though. I think it would be good for the Big Ten and it would be good for... well, I don't really care what's good for ND, but it'd be good for the Big Ten.

It won't be popular here, but I STILL say all B10 teams drop ND from schedules unless they join. Let ND do home-and-homes with ACC opponents and see if that helps them.
I love hating ND, and UM-ND is usually a good game, but we could do just as well finding other top programs to do home-and-homes with (even in this day and age) and still send the message to ND that they need to join the B10.
And, no, I don't think they ever will join B10. And, yes, I realize we have a contract good for the next 100 years to play ND. But I'll still whine about it.

I would have liked to see TCU play a real team. Amazing they always have such solid teams despite not bringing in the TOP talent.

It would not suprise me if ND dropped TCU from their schedule. If that is true then it appears they do try to schedule a tougher non-conference but the BCS teams will not take them up on it.

no thats not true, TCU changed their mind

and how long ago did they call it off?

"miscommunication between the 2 schools" ND thought the game was scheduled and just waiting to be signed (in July), but when they were finalizing the schedule in August it wasn't so final on TCUs part it seems.

YES YES YES YES YES.
I'm a WMU grad, and though we are going to get piledriven, I can't wait. I've been wanting to see that stadium, UM-ND tickets are tough to find, and this gives me a fantastic excuse to get down there and hate the Irish. Love it.
